I was actually quite surprised at how much I liked the basil chicken, it was a very unique flavor combo but it was awesome. The chicken was a bit dry but I think that’s more from the long travel than anything. I would definitely get it again.
The pork belly rice was a nice sweet flavor combo, the bok choy didn’t travel well but I LOVE bok choy and ate everyone’s 🤣
We didn’t understand we had to sprinkle the seasoning on the fries so at first I was like “they just taste like fries? what did I miss?” then my oldest checked the bags and found the seasoning. She ate most of the seaweed ones, those were her favorites. I liked both fries a ton, very fun flavors and I would eat those pretty much daily if I was close enough for delivery.
None of us had those kind of eggs before so they were a new experience. I liked them, Jeremy wasn’t sure. Oldest kiddo devoured hers. Middle kiddo lives off ketchup and McDonald’s so he took a bite and that was it. We don’t base food reviews off him for obvious reasons 🤣
Thank you sooo much for the drinks! They were a major hit with everyone.
10/10 I would definitely eat all of the food again! I have some for leftovers so it will either be midnight snack or breakfast tomorrow. It was all very tasty and everything had distinct flavor profiles, I very...
Read more9 up night market will be a regular stop for us. It's a cozy bright little space with a few small tables and chairs, plenty of space for eating, but could fill easily. The food was an absolutely a joy. The popcorn chicken was perfection- crispy and tender, flavorful, and very filling. The breakfast crepe had the perfect texture, a tender crisp outside, with fluffy light crepe inside. The flavors were incredible, the dip that accompanies the crepe was a savory delight. The pork buns were divine, albeit a bit spicy if you're not a spicy fan, just FYI. The pork buns have just the right amount of filling, toppings, sauce, and bun ratio. The mixed drinks were unbelievable! Honey citrus fresh mint soda was bright, citrusy, refreshing, while not being too abrasive with the flavors. The rosemary jasmine tea grapefruit soda was a gift from the heavens. The flavors were absolutely perfection. The presentation was stunning. Over all 9 Up night market gets my vote for an amazing food experience and worth the drive if you're...
Read moreI've gone to 9-UP when they've had their stand at the Salt Lake Farmers Market during the summer, and I have absolutely loved their food. I've been so sad that they don't have a dedicated space, and now they do! When we swung by, they'd then open for two days, so they're still building up the menu, and I'm so excited for their upcoming offerings! They're well known for their 24-hour slow braised pork belly rice bowl (for good reason, because it's delicious) but I especially love their pork belly bao buns--honestly some of the best I've ever had. The location they have at Chinatown is super cute and cozy, and you have all of the typical Chinatown parking. I'm looking forward to becoming a regular here!
Edit; I've since gone back and tried their handmade tofu ice cream. Absolutely delicious! All the creaminess of ice cream without being sweet. It's basically good quality soy milk in ice cream form. And I'm not a fry person generally, but I can eat a whole bag of nori jiggle fries in one sitting....
