DICK'S Sporting Goods — Local services in Southern Pines

The last few times ive been in here its not been a pleasant experience. It seems like the prices are alittle too high but i guess thats with any sporting goods store?? Also, we went in around 730 pm & the place was dead. It was a monday night. I had gotten a pair of nikes (huge variety of things) but there was NOBODY TO BE FOUND IN ANY DEPARTMENTS. we would catch an employee walking down the aisle, would look over @ us & not even ask us if we needed help. & this has happened to me on SEVERAL occasions. I tried on shoes for over 30 min and right as i made my choice an employee finally comes up to me & asks if i needed anything...i told him nope, where were you about 20 min ago? He didnt say a word pulled out his phone and started playing on it. WHY IS AN EMPLOYEE ON THERE PHONE AT WORK??? THAT SHOULDNT BE ALLOWED & at any place ive ever worked that wasnt allowed. So flat out no i wouldnt reccomend this place to anybody. I would ONLY GO THERE FOR NOW ON IF I ABSOLUTELY...

Your associate ELLEN is the only one in the Aberdeen store that is willing and able to help another woman in this store! Two men standing at the front door just pushed me off without even looking at the computer to verify if you had a Co2 cartridge for my life jacket.. I found someone in the golf area that I knew would just look up the item. He did try to help me and then went and got Ellen. She remembered me from getting my fishing license. I needed my reel restrung with new line.. THERE is only ONE man in this entire store that knows how to operate the machine.. what a joke?! You have guys just walking around or standing there just having a good ole boy Sunday tea dance. The only way to get my reel fixed is to make an appointment!! ...

Very disappointed. I have bought numerous golf clubs from this store and usually do a good job. However I live about an hour away from this store and I called ahead of time to make sure someone in the golf section would be there until closing and I was told they would be. When I arrived at the store 2 hours before closing I went to the golf section waited for 15 minutes with no help. Then went back to the front of the store and asked if someone was there working the golf area and was told "oh no they left at 7". I will not be purchasing any Sporting Goods or golf equipment at this location. The manager on this night offered no Solutions and the only thing she could tell me was "well sorry have a good night".
