Ola African Hair Braiding — Local services in Southfield

I scheduled an appointment prior to a trip i was taking. I called the woman and she said she would be available around that time and she would reach back out. Almost around 7pm, and hour before the appointment, she sends a message to a picture of the style I wanted for my child and says that she can do it. I asked her if I could still come at 8? She took up so much time not responding and giving half answers until she asked if I could come the following day. I stated i couldn't because I had a flight. I asked if she could fit me in. Do you know she didn't respond until 10ish pm? Saying she was done. Not for $165. No maam. Found a much nicer place for $25 cheaper and not at their home. A shop. Happy I didn't get service from here because I got somewhere so much better. Beware you all. Some of the reviews left prior are very true and I didn't even get in a chair.

Then the goofy broad texted me just now talking bout I'm lyin. Aint no reason to lie heffa. I have an email confirmation booking the appointment at 8pm clown. Dont book with this woman. She ah foo and nothing but ah foo. Gone text me about this review. Girl learn customer service, close off appointment times if ya slow self can't do it. Bite tha review. If I could give you no stars I would. Texted her my email confirmation to, but she don't wanna speak on that. Frickin loser.

Got my hair braided here July 15th and here it is today July 28th and my braids are slipping out and literally just about all of my boho hair has fallen out. There are small patches of uneven hair left out not braided in the middle/back of my head. Parts crazy uneven…some square some circles. I texted her to inform/complain & she offered to have me come back & try to fix them. How??? Nonetheless I agreed but she eneded up not responding to me when I told her I couldn’t come til after 5pm when I got off work. Then finally she responded @ 9pm saying “okay”. Like really. I should have just not gotten my hair braided when I arrived as her children were running around & she had to stop a couple times to assist them. One was hurt & cried & needed holding. She was online for school following along via video and she was parting my hair w/ a hair clip and now to think about it, I do not recall her using any braiding gel. 🤦🏾‍♀️ But I was giving her the benefit of doubt because she had decent reviews. Now $200 later for the service plus a $15 tip & $51 later for my wasted human boho hair I wish I would’ve just followed my first mind & said that’s okay when I arrived. 😡 WON’T BE BACK & I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND DUE TO MY...

I went to Ola African Hair Braiding after reading their review. They did not let me down. My box braids are beautiful. They were very friendly and professional. They were very accommodating to my request on the type of braids. They even provide the hair. They eased my worry about the Covid-19 standards because everyone wore a mask. Each client and braider were socially distance. Over the years I have been to several braiding shops. They are the only one who text me and said: "Thank you for coming today. Enjoy your braids and see you next time." I will DEFINANLTY BE BACK! I highly recommend them to anyone. I wish I could give them more than 5...
