I arrived at store #442; 25203 Evergreen Road Southfield, MI 48075 at 8:05 am. I spoke with the "manager" Collette over the intercom. I asked simple questions inquiring what goes in a cappuccino as I did not know how their process was done. She proceeds to tell me that it's a packet with water. I asked if there was espresso blended in with the packet. She got flustered and said that not what a cappuccino is. I told her that I knew what a cappuccino was because I was a barista for four years. Knowing that each coffee place makes there coffees differently; I was just trying to understand what was in a Tim Horton's cup. She get's an attitude, cuts me off and starts saying that they don't make latte's and they don't do espresso.
So then I was confused. So I pull up to the window because i didn't want to argue with whomever I was speaking with and I wanted clarity. I asked a different woman, What makes a cappuccino at Tim Horton's a cappuccino if there was no espresso in it all? The lady I was speaking to over the intercom proceeds to cut into the question I asked. So I said, in a respectful tone, Oh, I was speaking to her. She then stated well I am the manager. So I reluctantly asked the same question to her. What makes a cappuccino at Tim Horton's a cappuccino if there was no espresso in it all? She took this question as an augment instead of an inquiry. She said if I was a barista then I would know. I told her I do know. I am just trying to understand your process. She starts to explain that it's like 7 eleven espresso machines. Which confused me further because they have espresso blended in.
She then asked, with an attitude, Now do you want anything from here? I figured that this was miscommunication and instead of wasting more time. I just let it go, said no and was about to drive off. Then she said I thought so and slammed the window. This upset me so I parked, went in asked for her name and the number. She said Collette and would not reveal her last name. I told her she should not treat people the way I was treated and that the customer service here was awful. She stated that I was trying to talk to her like she was stupid. I stated that I wasn't and was just asking questions because I did not know. I said that you do not treat people like that and if you are the manager you should conduct yourself like one. I bought a tim-bit for the store info and left.
Please retrain her or let her go. As the staff there also fed into her behavior and was too scared to speak up. I can tell it is a hostile work environment. In Windsor, Canada they were kind and treated me well. I am not sure what the training is like here but the store is suffering as there are so many google reviews regarding awful...
Read moreI wish I could give 0 stars. I wake up early this morning, to get some pastries for my co-workers. I felt that it would have been easier to go inside the store rather than the drive through, since I was about to purchase a dozen or more donuts and I wasn't sure what I wanted or what they had available. Now, this particular Tim Hortons is supposed to open it's doors at 5 AM. I get there closer to 6 AM and find the doors lock and All the employees standing around, doing nothing. I knock on the door hoping one of them could be kind enough to open it, since I am a paying customer.... nope... they looked at me and then completely ignored me. I kept on knocking and still not one employee could be gracious enough to let me in. At the same time, another customer who arrived on his bike decided to walk to the drive through window to see what was going on and to ask why the front was closed, why there was no sign as to why the door was locked and if he could then place an order at the window. One of the employees responded to his question about the door with "oh, we had a problem this morning"..... ummmm okay? was the problem pure laziness and lack of respect for customers? He then proceeds to ask for a black coffee. The employee then responds, "oh, we had a problem this morning and we aren't serving coffee". What?! So you mean to say that you aren't serving coffee and yet this whole chain's revenue is half their coffee sales..... and you're open? At that time, a customer goes through the drive through and receives 2 large coffees and drives away.... yeah that sounds about right. When the man on his bike returned, he proceeds to tell me the answers they gave him and yes, I'm still standing at the front door, knocking. Still needing donuts and would be now potentially late to my meeting, I go through the drive through, order, pay and drive away. I just opened the box of donuts and my whole order was wrong...
I highly recommend shutting this location down or going through some serious employee training. This was disgraceful and honestly I don't like Tim Horton's anyways and it validates as to why. Serves me right to break from my other and BETTER coffee and...
Read moreI have multiple complaints about my experience today and I want to start with the most severe. I have visited many TH locations in the past and have NEVER been served something so vile and disgusting. What I was served is a perfect example of pure negligence, lack of care, and embarrassment. I am only hoping and praying that I do not get sick as I have been dealing with nausea all day after taking just one bite.
I ordered an everything bagel toasted with egg and cheese. Normally, the egg that is served on the bagel is fresh, hot, and fluffy. What I was served couldn’t have been more opposite. What was served to me was what looked like a piece of flat rubber like egg that had been sitting out for hours. The edges around the egg were hard and crusty, with the center of the egg patty speckled with some sort of green pattern (no idea what that could even be).
I am 13 weeks pregnant, and I fear that I will not have food poisoning from this. I am also very worried that other customers -including children- are being served this garbage.
This sandwich was KNOWINGLY assembled by a tim Horton’s employee.
In addition to the horrible food that I was served, there were other things that happening during this experience that will make me never want to visit this location again. When I pulled up to order my food I couldn’t understand what the employee was saying because the machine was so staticky. I have no idea what she said back to me when I placed my order and only hoped that she even heard what I said. When I pulled up to the window I sat there for approximately 3 minutes before I was even greeted. I saw no one working behind the window, not a single person even walk by. This is especially odd because all of the TH locations I’ve visited are always filled with hard working employees fulfilling customer orders. I feared that the employee may have said that they were closed because I don’t know what was said to me with all of the static. Finally someone came to the window to collect my payment and hand me my sandwich. It wasn’t I was almost to work did I realize what I had...
