Ethan Allen — Local services in Southlake

I've worked with the Ethan Allen Dallas Galleria store for a few years and recently started working with the Ethan Allen Southlake store after my recent move to Colleyville. First, the Southlake location is extremely clean and appears to have a good selection of EA's products for viewing on the sales floor.

After a bad experience with a competing furniture store in Frisco, I asked Jo Brabham from EA Southlake to help me with a small project selecting dining room chairs to coordinate with a few existing items. I have to say I am so thankful I decided to work with Jo on this small project. Jo took the time to review my request and try to understand my design preference. She took time out to come to my house to ensure the options selected were a good fit. I really got the sense she was concerned about 1) my satisfaction 2) actually listening to my design preference and 3) finding options that would work from a design perspective but also keep me happy based on my tastes. I did not feel I was being pressured to buy anything or that something was being suggested I'd be unhappy with just to make a sale, which I really appreciate. I truly felt I was getting advice from someone who actually understands design concepts.

After placing my order, I received a call to update my on the status and was told to call at anytime for a status update. I received my order 2-3 weeks earlier than the projected date.

After my 1st experience, I asked Jo to help me fix a mistake made by a competing store's designer for a club chair. Again, I felt there was an effort to understand what I want and keep me happy while also picking something that will truly look good in my house. I look forward to seeing the chair once it arrives in a few weeks and am confident I'll be happy with it.

Furniture is very expensive, and I have learned the hard way that you have to be educated on what you are buying and ensure someone is guiding you to make the correct choices. I am confident EA Southlake will provide proper guidance and look forward to continuing to work with them as other items come up...

Addendum: we received prompt and concerned calls from our salesperson after this post went live. They sent over a repair person to install feet on the chairs as soon as they could. It did take a while but what doesn’t in this current ongoing pandemic. The floor was less satisfactory as the floor specialist they sent just used an almond stick on it. It did fill the cracks to hide the color of the scratches and the repair person left the stick for us. Honestly without major refinishing what was done was done. I was impressed by how a conscientious business owner and staff can really make you feel heard and the table and chairs are of lovely quality. So I’m increasing my experience from 1 to 4 stars. I will likely be back at that Ethan Allen but more proactive about insisting on common sense things like furniture feet in the future.

We spent $7000 on a custom table and chairs. When they were delivered, we asked what kind of pads were recommended for the leg bottoms and were told that there were custom felt pads on the chair legs already. Four days later, deep, indelible scratches were noted under the chairs and we placed adhesive furniture pads which easily were knocked off due to the long narrow tip of the chair leg (not much surface area). We called the store to ask which pads to order and were told again that the chairs had felt pads on the chair legs already. We reported the scratches in our custom hardwood floors and were given a number for repair person to evaluate the chairs. However we were informed that any parts we would need would be our responsibility. I guess we are on our own for the floors. Very discouraging…we paid top dollar at Ethan Allen to avoid this kind of situation. I guess the lesson here is to stick...

Highly recommend this store and specifically Andrew Muchado. I first went to the Southlake showroom for wallpaper in June and have been a repeat client since. Truly all the staff are friendly and helpful.

Our new home is more beautiful because of Andrew. He was prompt with his recommendations following our in-home consultation. He is friendly, attentive, precise with space planning/measurements, and excellent at putting together a cohesive look that I love and never would have imagined myself. Definitely earned our trust with these big purchases. Thank you, Andrew, for taking time to understand our style and guide us!

He was spot on in selections for wallpaper for our primary bathroom, along with furniture/rugs/décor for our family room, formal living room, dining room, and bedroom. I love how everything came together.
