I find myself stopping in the store every few months to see if there’s anything I need to add to my professional wardrobe. I’m able to dress casually for work from time to time and often people mistake me for being less financially equipped than I actually am. The ladies that are working in the retail store sometimes, especially at the Southlake location can have a bit of the “pretty woman syndrome“ and have more than once treated me like I did not belong in their store.
More than once I have proved them wrong by walking out with 5 to 7 articles of their clothing while on other occasions I have walked out empty-handed feeling uninspired to shop in an environment where I don’t feel welcome. In these days where people are able to work from home some or all of the time it would be wise for employers to train their employees to treat every customer that walks through their door as though they belong there.
Consumers have multiple choices where they will spend their hard earned money, and I can assure you although I am more than able I’m not as willing to part with my hard earned money in a place where a $14 an hour employee looks down her nose at me, regardless of how much I may love a blouse or a blazer. Read moreSo, I mostly shop online and had put in a huge order, of which only three shirts didn’t fit. Upon going to the Southlake store since I was in the area, I usually shop at Hurst store, I was treated super poorly. The cashier, who wouldn’t even talk to me, refused to go in my brand new shopping bag to take out the clothes for return, telling me she didn’t have to reach into my bag or grab my receipt. I had just come from hair stylist so I looked and felt great!! I was completely humiliated and was brought to tears. When I brought it to the attention of the other super nice employees, they all came to my aid. The sad part is I was so excited to be able to FINALLY shop at chicos and WHBM since my huge weight loss. I left feeling awful, though several employees from WHBM reprimanded the cashier and came to my aid. She kept on looking down at me. So, save yourself judgment and hate, and go to the northeast mall store in Hurst where they always treat me like a rockstar. The Chico’s at Hurst is...
Read moreI shop at this location at least once a year for work clothes. Every time I am wowed by the attention and service I receive (it doesn't happen at all locations, trust me). This most recent visit however was above and beyond expectations. I was shopping for a business trip. My first time shopping for work clothes after having a baby (working with a new body shape). Michelle helped me in the fitting rooms and made great suggestions, switched out sizes, gave helpful opinions and was so kind to my Mom and daughter who joined me on this crusade. I left with everything I needed to make a good impression (and I did get TONS of compliments during my trip!). I will always be a loyal customer to this location. They really know how to care for their customers-especially Michelle, her passion...
