I would honestly have rather given a 5 star rating but I just couldn't due to the main part of my experience this last go round. I went in with specific acne related concerns while requesting someone that had both knowledge & experience regarding my issue at hand help me out (finding a good liquid foundation to provide better coverage for acne & redness).
The first 2 reps I came upon mentioned 2 reps that could further assist me - both were busy helping other customers so I was directed towards a different rep that claimed she could help since she had walked up on our conversation.
Fast forward... turns out the rep I had been stuck with tried applying makeup to my face in the red/acne scarring areas w/o even applying moisturizer or primer... nothing but the foundation which is a no-no. I questioned her a few times about why she isn't applying anything underneath so I can physically see better results if I'm going to buy something different & she had no answers. To top it off when she stopped applying the foundation on the partial area of my face she stated it looked good & matched my skin tone - Wrong! I have pink undertones & she put yellow undertones on my skin. It looked blotchy & wasn't even blended.
After I kept on pressing her with multiple questions & complaining about the wrong color she picked I thankfully gained a different rep to help. She was way more knowledgeable & guided me through what she was doing as well as put on layers (moisturizer, primer then foundation)... plus she blended it like you are supposed to. There was also the 2 other reps (that I was referred to at the beginning) that did finally get free & came over to give more advice since they struggle with acne.
To sum this all up I did receive help from multiple reps but that one rep that seemed clueless on how to perform as a makeup artist & lacked knowledge she had claimed to have had was why I only gave 4 out of 5 stars rating.
Please make sure you ask for someone that has experience or working knowledge of the subject matter you are coming into the store for otherwise you will get stuck with someone faking it until they make it where you won't see anything good become of buying what products they are trying to...
Read moreI thought the employees at Buckle were bad (if you've ever shopped there you know what I'm talking about) but they're nothing compared to being cornered by 2 employees in Sephora. I went in there yesterday to swap out a foundation I had previously bought due to it not being the right match, and it was supposed to be a quick in and out visit but instead I ended up listening to, what I think was the store manager, reccomend a product to me that I don't need for like 30 minutes. I have oily skin, and I have a skincare routine that works for me, but they kept INSISTING that I should buy this "end all be all" moisturizer that would somehow magically cure my oily skin. Hate to break it to y'all but that's just genetics. My oily skin is never going to just go away. All of the ingredients that were in this "magic moisturizer" I already had back home, and use on a daily. I tried to explain that to the employee, and tried to tell them the list of products I use, but instead was shut down completely because I mentioned I use a prescription benzoyl peroxide face wash. That's all she fixated on was the benzoyl peroxide wash, and admitted to me later that the only product she recognized that I used was from Neutrogena (the other products I use are from The Ordinary and Dermalogica which in my opinion aren't that unheard of). So how can someone recommend a product to me when they can't be bothered to listen to me tell them what I actually use and recognize different brands? She then proceeded to hand me the bottle and give me the spiel about how I could return it if I didn't like it, but I didn't come in there to spend $45 on a moisturizer. One of the most obnoxious shopping experiences I've had in...
Read moreEmployees are extremely rude and dismissive. This is the second time I have experienced inadequate customer service specifically at this location. I had an in store pick up, and when I arrived I waited in the pick up area for several minutes with nobody acknowledging I was even there. I went to the check out area and told an employee that I had an in store pick up, I had been waiting in the pick up area and nobody was over there to help. She said she would call someone to help. I went back to the pick up area and waited several more minutes, with no help. THREE employees saw me waiting and not ONE asked if I had been helped yet. They acted like I wasnât even there. While I was waiting, I observed only white customers being greeted. If you arenât a rich looking white woman they wonât even look at you or speak to you. I then went up to another employee that was too busy putting on lipgloss and staring at her self in the mirror to acknowledge that I was there at first⊠I asked her if she could get someone to help me because I have an in store pick up and she literally said to me âOh yeah, Iâll get someone else because thatâs not my job.â She was extremely rude, stuck up and unprofessional. Donât work in customer service if youâre going to act like youâre above everyone else. I was there longer then I should have been and it was a waste of my time. People use in store pick up as a convenience, not to have to stand there and wait for someone to even acknowledge that they are there. All of the employees look/ seem miserable and have disgusting...
