I've been coming to Brio since 2016 with family and friends. The experience I had tonight (12/26/22) was so awful, I will never come back. I won't fault our server, Braxton, who did a phenomenal job, especially under the circumstances of poor management. Our large party of about 12 or so, were meant to sit for our reservation tonight at 7:00pm. The whole party arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation, looking to hopefully be seated early. At check-in, we were told the table wouldn't be ready until 7:15pm...that was not ideal but as a group we decided to wait at the bar. We didn't get seated until 7:45-7:50pm because the dinner service was running behind. We did not receive any notifications from Brio's management that our reservation would be delayed and had no other option but to wait for a table since other restaurants in the area were fully committed for the evening. When we did sit down, management provided complimentary appetizers for our wait; however, the pleasantries ran out there. When the food came out a woman named Toni, came over to attempt to apologize or explain why the service was so poor. I'm not sure exactly what her intentions of coming over were, but what we received from her was a condescending attitude and ZERO accountability. She was sassy, nasty, and downright rude towards my mother, who was so generously covering the bill for everyone. My table was confused and uncomfortable by her tone, body language, and poor customer service skills. I would hate to think she was being prejudice or discriminatory towards my party of primarily black folks. Whatever the case may be, she definitely needs to work on her approach and tone when speaking to paying patrons who have already had to make so many concessions (food items not being available, long waits, etc.) to simply have a pleasant family dinner. I understand holidays are tough for restaurants and service workers, however, don't let them ruin the your brand, reputation, or customers' overall experience. I will never be back and I don't recommend this establishment to anyone looking for respectful customer service and...

Last night, my partner and I decided to visit Brio, which had always been our favorite Italian restaurant in Southlake TX. Unfortunately, our experience was a far cry from the exceptional dining experiences we've come to expect.
From the moment we were seated, we couldn't help but notice that the ambiance seemed different - less warm and inviting than in the past. Still, we were excited to indulge in Brio's exquisite Italian cuisine, hoping that the food would live up to our memories.
Our disappointment began when I requested a simple substitution for my meal. I asked the server if I could swap out the mashed potatoes for pasta, which seemed like a reasonable request. To my surprise, the server directed the issue to the restaurant manager, who approached our table and began to debate the cost difference between pasta and mashed potatoes. This struck me as odd, as I have made this request several times before without any issue.
I tried to explain to the manager that I was a regular customer, and this was the first time I had encountered any resistance to this substitution. Despite my efforts, the manager remained firm in her refusal to accommodate my request. The discussion became increasingly frustrating, and I couldn't help but feel that my concerns were falling on deaf ears.
In the end, we continued with our meal, but the entire encounter with the manager left a sour taste in our mouths. The food, while still enjoyable, didn't seem to have the same magic as in the past.
It is with a heavy heart that I must say that Brio is no longer the best Italian restaurant in Southlake. The combination of a changed atmosphere, inflexible management, and a dip in food quality has left us with no choice but to seek out other dining options in the future.
We truly hope that Brio can regain its former glory, but for now, it's a sad farewell to a place that once held a special spot...
Read moreBeen coming in here for years about once a month or every other month, and have always loved the food, the atmosphere, service, etc. Brought my girlfriend in last night and the whole experience was just off. The waitress was kind enough, but I ordered what I always order, the grilled Salmon Fresca. I had a feeling something was off when the Chef came out and said it was taking a bit long and would be right out, cause I've never seen that before. My gf order the beef medallions. When dinner was served I looked at the plate and wished I'd of taken a picture, because I was disappointed. The top usually has feta sprinkled on it, which there wasn't. The asparagus looked like I guess it had been cooked to long because it was about half the width of a pencil, tiny and wilted. The salmon, I had one bite, and thought the texture was off, so I took another fork full and then could see the salmon was runny jello like. In other words like sushi I guess. Totally turned off, I actually just wanted to leave but went ahead and I asked the waitress to help me out here, take it back. Which she did and the manager I suspect came over to apologize, then the cook came out to say some people like their salmon medium rare as opposed to medium. Sorry, I've never experienced that before in a non Japanese, sushi restaurant setting, and I've never had it cooked that way in Brio.
To their credit, they did make it right, brought out another dish, which had actual asparagus you could eat this time, feta, and the fish cooked properly.
We both ordered one glass of wine with a water, I pretty much emptied my water glass, and not once did they refill it, maybe you have to ask now days, I don't know, I just know for a 120 dollar meal, the whole experience was off, and nothing like I've experienced over the years. I'll probably try again in a few months, maybe it was just a bad day, lack of help, new hires, I don't know, but I'm not in a hurry to get back,...
