Cavender's Western Outfitters — Local services in Spanish Fort

Visited Cavenders this morning and as soon as we walked in we were greeted with warm smiles. All the employees were extremely helpful as we glanced the store. I proceeded to purchase a cowboy hat that needed some molding to fit my circular head. As the employee shaped and reshaped the hat to fit my unique head it was clear that the hat was not gonna form to my liking. Still happy with my purchase I was going to take it but turns out the humble lady that was shaping my hat was the store manager. She said that she exhausted all possible options to make my hat form the way I wanted it, and if I wasn’t in love with it they will refund me my money. Not being from the local area I politely denied the offer since i really wanted the hat. She was so wrapped up on customer satisfaction (knowing I’ll be visiting Texas in two weeks) she reached out to the store manager in that local area to make arrangements for me. So, Cavenders located in Texas will be ordering a few different types of hats that WILL satisfy my needs and fit better.

I was blown away by Mike in the hats area! Great experience buying my hats. Loads of knowledge and skill choosing the right hat and shaping it to get a perfect fit. I didn’t expect meeting such a great guy. I learned so much from him in a short hour of shopping. I tried on some boots and found a boot that fit. He asked me if I was right handed and I said yes. He suggested that I try on the left boot for fit. He said I might find that the left boot might not fit while the right one fit great. He said it would be really bad if I got home and found out that the left boot didn’t fit. Damn! He was spot on! The left boot would not go on. He took the boot and worked some magic based on his extensive experience. He made that boot fit great! This man was priceless! Now for the bad news. He is going to Prattville, AL in two weeks to open that store. I told him I will follow him there to due my shopping in the future. This man is a precious commodity for this store! I’m not easily impressed but I was impressed with Mike. Well done Mike! I know I have been concentrating on Mike but I must mention the other Staff at this store. Let me start by saying we have loved shopping at Cavendars for years. We have shopped at a few locations around the country, frequently. We visited the Spanish Fort location last night and was not impressed. The staff at this location literally told me it was going to be easier for me to order jeans online than it was for them to locate the pair I was looking for in their inventory or in store. I drove 45 min each way to this location. If i wanted to order online I would've done that. Definitely not a happy customer at this point.
