I just graduated from Milan Institute in Sparks from the Medical Assistant program and I want to say how thankful I am I found this school. Everything went great since day 1 when I spoke to Courtney and I told her I was interested in the Medical Assisting and she was so happy to explain how everything with the enrollment and tuition worked and she took me on a tour around the building so that I got familiar with the school.
She Introduced me to Angie, the Director, and I was able to tell how charismatic she is and cheerful and energetic that she transmits good vibes. I loved it! We finally arrived to the Medical Assisting classroom and Courtney introduced me to Ms. Divonn, the Medical Assisting Instructor and to all the Medical Assisting students. That day they were hands-on and I was able to see how they performed injections and draw blood. I was amazed by all the cool stuff they got to do as MAs so I didnât think twice and got enrolled.
Once I was in school my experience throughout the months was wonderful, getting to meet new faces and making friends was great. Learning medical terminology and procedures was fun and the relationship we build with our instructor is amazing. Ms. Divonn is such a sweetheart, she can be very strict at times but for sure, it is because she wants you to be successful. I loved her and I thank her for helping me grow in this career. You are the best Ms. Divonn!đŤś
Also I got to meet Erica, our Career Services Coordinator, such a beautiful person, she is always willing to help the students. When it came to my Externship, she was the person to go to, replies right away and she helps you build your resume and prepares you for the job interview and she makes sure the place for externship accepts you and is always checking on you making sure you complete all the forms necessary for your graduation. Thank you Erica,...
Read moreI had written a review in the beginning of my program and mentioned how Courtney and Lissette were amazing at making me feel welcomed and important as a new student. That post got erased here on the reviews but I wanted to make sure Courtney is mentioned for her amazing ways of making each individual feel equally as important as the next. She goes above and beyond to help you achieve your interest in becoming a student at Milan Institute.
I want to mention the gentleman who took Lisettes place...Leon is a great guy who really seems to love his job and is very outgoing and professional. Thanks Leon for all you do there at Milan Institute and all your support with the massage clinic and us as massage therapist students.
Moving forward, I'm almost done with my MT program. I want to express my gratitude to all the teachers at Milan Institute.
I would like to mention Sherri. She always made time for me when I needed to address any concerns. She showed me her sincerity on whatever the situation may have been and she would always remind me to believe in myself. She taught me the importance of working hard and doing the best you can.
I would also like to mention Jolana, Trish and Mandy. They are all wonderful teacher's and they all show their passion to teach the student's in their own personal ways.
Jolana shows me blood, sweat and tears with her teaching abilities, her knowledge and her compassionate ways as a teacher.
Trish is like a big sister as a teacher, she taught me the importance to not mess around, to concentrate as best as I could. She didnt sugar coat anything and told me straight up what to expect in all aspects of learning the massage education program.
Mandy treats me like a family, welcoming, radiating this vibe of positivity and her willingness to always be there for me...
Read moreI attended Milan Institute in Sparks from October 2023 to June 2024 in their esthetician program. All I will say is I loved my teacher Jenn. She taught us so much, made class fun and was extremely knowledgeable and supportive throughout my entire time there. She was the reason I wanted to continue to show up to class, it would have been so much harder without her. When I was attending she was our best esthetician instructor, and probably still is. I still miss playing kahoot in her classroom and how much she would joke around with my group and I, she really is the best. Thank you Jenn for teaching me everything I know and being the support we all needed.
Milan in my opinion was okay, I had frustrations with some things when I was there and the only other instructor I felt I could trust was Jackie. Equipment would break on us, we would have to use steamers from classrooms because there werenât enough in the treatment room. A few months in we werenât allowed to use certain disposable products, because we went through too many practicing and with clients. My table and I were told we had to take our Midterm, when we hadnât been midway through our courses, so we were missing half of the information for a test that was mandatory to pass. Just little things here and there that I think could have used improvement. For me Milan gets 3 stars, but...
