I. Love. This. Store. Not only is it a place with purpose and an amazing cause, but the products are spectacular. They truly prove that you don’t need to sacrifice on quality and function to be sustainable and earth conscience. Refilling is also so satisfying and fun, which seems odd because I don’t think we generally think of shopping for laundry detergent as fun, but it is at Simple Bare Necessities. Simple Bare Necessities is a TRUE gem, and one of my new all-time favorite spots. I moved to the area in November, and Michaela (the owner of SBN) has created such a positive, community-focused environment that makes me so excited to come back every week (I am ALWAYS thinking of reasons I need to go back!!) I am so passionate about living sustainably, and SBN makes it so easy and fun - I am SO glad SBN exists and that it is making shopping sustainably affordable and accessible to the communities of northern Jersey. Plus, SBN has the cutest sustainable swaps (the retro tissue boxes make me smile), and I feel like I'm having fun shopping there, even though it's for basic (or should I say Bare!??) necessities :) 110% can't recommend SBN enough - we need more shop owners like Michaela...
