Stop & Shop — Local services in Sparta Township

So, standard prices have always been consistently higher in this store than Shop Rite, however within the last week they have become more glaring. Here is a comparison of 5 items I just purchased. Again, these are the normal (not sale) prices:

32 oz Fage 0 is $8.99 S&S vs $6.99 Shop Rite/ 5 LB organic Natures Promise Carrots are $6.99 vs Shop Rite Wholesome Pantry at $5.89/ Sargento Aged Cheddar slices here are $4.29 vs $3.49 at SR/ organic Driscoll 16 oz strawberries here are $6.49 vs $5.99 at SR/ PT Haagen Dazs here is $6.29 vs $5.49 SR. These 5 items cost a total of $5.20 more here than Shop Rite. On a typical shopping trip my cart has at least 30 items, so the total difference in cost becomes more extreme.

Also, you can purchase larger sizes of certain items in Shop Rite, for pretty much the same cost as the smaller size here. For example Shop Rite 16 oz organic Wholesome Pantry Spinach for $6.99 vs 11 oz which is the largest size of Stop & Shop Natures Promise at $5.79. Shop Rite has 3 LB Perdue Ground Chicken 92/8 for $10.98. You can only purchase one LB of same exact thing here for $5.49, thus 3 LBs would cost $16.47! Shop Rite Wholesome Pantry 12 oz bags frozen organic veg are 5 for $7.00 whereas here at S&S each bag is $3.19. Even the deli cold cuts have higher prices here. Example: Finlandia Swiss is $12.49LB here at S&S vs $10.99 at Shop Rite. Even WITH the rewards program, it doesn’t cover really cover the overall drastic cost...

I was leaving the Stop & Shop in Sparta and I got to the far entrance by 9:01 and I was told that they were closing The far entrance at 9 by signage. I'm a heart patient and I had a catheterization two days ago and I'm literally the nicest and most conscientious man you'll ever meet and to make me annoyed really says something, I asked the employees nicely if they wouldn't mind me walking out of this entrance so I didn't have to walk the 3000' to my car from the other entrance since I'm a heart patient as I explained to them in the kindliest manner possible. I WOULD'VE BEEN PERFECTLY FINE IF THEY SAID NO....but The manager with a lot of attitude and visual annoyance and physical annoyance, turned toward the employee who was also annoyed And reluctantly opened the door for me with disgust and attitude. Like, how heartless do you have to be. As a human being, I am disgusted by this behavior And I demand action be taken. Not only as employees, but also as human beings. I know that this world has become somewhat heartless with the current state of affairs and rising inflation, But when your employees visually and physically make this kind of disgusting behavior, It makes me, a customer, who spends thousands of dollars at this store, also disgusted And I will be ready to shop somewhere else, maybe a competitor, if no...

I WAS WAITING AT THE DELI COUNTER,I HAD ORDER MEDIUM COLESLAW, MEDIUM POTATO SALAD&A LARGE RAINBOW PASTA,THE LADY COULD NOT FIND THE RAINBOW PASTA IN HER COMPUTER AND I SUGGEST MAYBE U CAN JUST PRINT A DIFFERENT LABEL FOR A DIFFERENT PASTA OR POTATO SALAD THAT COST EXACTLY THE SAME,I RECOMMEND THIS AFTER WAITING 5 MIN WICH WASN'T AN ISSUE.BUT WHEN I RECOMMEND THE DIFFERENT LABEL SHE GOT SNIPPY WITH ME,SO I BIT BY TONGUE CONTINUE TO WAIT. MEANWHILE SHES NOT ASKING ANY OF THE OTHER  6 EMPLOYEES BEHIND DELI FOR HELP,AFTER 10 MIN OF WAITING SHE FINNALY ASKED HER CO WORKER FOR HELP&HE SAID (HOLD ON LET ME FUNISH THIS FRIST) AT THAT POINT I COULDN'T BELIEVE AFTER MAKING US WAIT A TOTAL OF 15 MIN INSTEAD IF HE SAYING SOMEONE PLEASE I NEED HELP NOW THESE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR ONE CONTAINER OF RAINBOW PASTA FOR 15 MIN,SHE DID NOTHING,NOT EVEN TO ME,LIKE HEY MAM IM SO SORRY FOR WAIT.NOTHIN AT ALL,SO I JUST LEFT THE REST OF MY DELI ITEMS THEIR AND WALKED OUT,I WAS JUST BACK &S&S YESTERDAY &I ORDERED CILD CUTS & U HAPPENED TO SEE THE LADY BEHIND THE DELI&I WANTED TI ORDER THE USUAL STUFF I WOULD GET BUT BECAUSE SHE WAS SO RUDE LAST TIME I WAS THEIR 2 WEEKS AGO I DIDNT EVEN WANT TO ORDER WHAT I NORMALLY WOULD HAVE.,BESIDES THAT THO I DO LOVE THE STORE&THE VARIETY OF THINGS THEY HAVE &HOW CLEAN...
