So I had ordered some sourdough bread bowls online for Father’s Day. I accidentally placed the order on the wrong day so I placed a second order on the correct day and was trying to figure out how to cancel my first order when GH called me to make sure the two exact orders weren’t a mistake. I was pretty pleased with their customer service considering most places wouldn’t call to check in a situation like that. I told them it was a mistake and I was trying to figure out on the website how to fix it. The girl told me online ordering was new so I should keep trying and if I wasn’t finding a solution to give them a call back and they’d help me. I was pretty pleased at that point until I had to call back (not because I had to call back but because of the string of events that unraveled after) because I couldn’t figure out how to cancel the order with the incorrect date. I called back and they said I’d need to get a managers help but that theirs had just left and would be back in a half hour. I decided to wait about an hour and a half till my baby was down for a nap to give them plenty of time and so I wouldn’t have to wrestle a toddler while on the phone. When I called again I don’t know why but they told me their manager had just gone to get her eyelashes done. They didn’t say she was on lunch so..? The next day I called again and they said their manager was gone doing a catering event. Catering during a pandemic? The final time I had called it was because I saw the order was cancelled but they cancelled it for the incorrect date. I wanted to make sure they had the right date so I called again to figure things out. They said they had cancelled the wrong date online but that they had written the right date down and knew which date was correct, yet they never called me to tell me this. The person speaking behind the employee I was on the phone with sounded bothered, but I had been very patient with the whole situation as I understand online things can be more difficult so I don’t understand why THEY seemed bothered. The reason I decided to leave the review in the end is because my “bread bowls” were very small and near flat. They had been scored completely to the bottom and were very thin. They also had Asiago cheese on them which was not mentioned in online ordering that I could see. I’ve ordered wheat bread bowls from here before and they were great, but idk what happened this time. I made several selections and headed to the register. My wife is disabled with bad knees and a bad back. She is only able to take short walks with a cane. She needed to sit down so she grabbed a chair off a table. The cashier, a young woman wearing a faded orange t-shirt with blond hair flipped out that my wife had taken a chair off a table. My wife stated she is disabled and had to sit down immediately or she would have fallen. The cashier continued making rude comments which outraged me so we did not purchase the bread I had selected but left the store.
