It's hard to give a review on the store as a whole so I'll split it up into store section and salon. I've only been to the salon once. The girl who cut my hair was so incredibly friendly and lovely but she sort of didn't do a great job on the cut. All I asked for was a trim and some layers to be cleaned up and she didn't really do much. What she did do was choppy and uneven. I'm not super happy with it but I'm also not very picky about my hair. It was just frustrating since it seems to be a really simple and straightforward cut and it didn't even look nice. She was so nice though that it was hard to post a bad review about it. Now the store section is very hit or miss. There are a few key things I go here for that never seem to be in stock and I have to buy online. I use mostly cheap make up except for three or four things that I think are worth the cost and ULTA always seems to be out of them. Literally the last 4 times I went there for Lancome Pore Eraser they didn't have it in stock and that is frustrating. The girls who work the floor are sometimes nice but often ignore you. I've had some very pushy sales girls and I don't like that. One of them tried to push the wrong color foundation on me after I asked for a different shade that wasn't in stock. She acted like I didn't know my own skin tone or what looked best on me and sat me down to "test" a darker shade that frankly looked hideous on me. Sometimes I've run into very rude employees or ones who followed me around the store like I was trying to steal something, presumably because I was in sweats and looking in the expensive section. Occasionally there are some pleasant ones and the cashiers are usually either friendly or neutral. They do, however, have a great selection with such a large range of prices and quality that you can always find what you're looking for (even if none of the sales people are very helpful). Nothing I've experienced was bad enough to cause me to stop going here, just to not ask for help...
Read moreToday I went to Ulta with my husband to purchase the new Miss Dior EDP for a friend of ours. The lady in charge of the perfume section had no clue the perfume was in stock. She actually told me they don't carry it yet and that they "get the new stuff on Sundays". She even went back to check if they have it in the storage room and she said she couldn't find it. In the meantine, I already had the perfume in my hand. The perfume was on the shelf in the Christian Dior section, where I expected it to be. After telling her that I found the perfume and showing it to her, the employee goes on saying that it's not a new perfume. The Miss Dior perfume that I was looking for was launched in 2021, and even though the name hasn't changed, it's a new perfume that smells different from its predecessors. Stores don't carry the old flankers anymore. Even the packaging has slight differences in comparison to the packaging that was used in the past. I expect for someone that works at Ulta to know the products they are selling. It's not the first time that an employee from this store has no clue about the products sold in their section. Ulta, please train your employees! And by the way, the price listed on the shelf was different than the price that I actually paid for at the register. The old price was left on the shelf. Small details that make a difference in the way a store presents itself. I would have driven to Sephora to buy the perfume, if I hadn't looked on the shelf. This is how you...
Read moreToday I went to buy makeup at Ulta's store. 1 week ago I had made a big purchase online because the store is a bit far from my house. But unintentionally this weekend we came to a place where there was an Ulta's store. I decided to go in out off curiousity. I was looking for a person to help me whos speak Spanish. I saw 2 workers talking and asked them if any of them spoke Spanish. They told me that they din't. That there was a Mexican girl there who did speak Spanish. They did not accompany me to where that girl was, they only pointed to me and continued talking. I think their conversation was very interesting or maybe they are not allowed to move from their area where they sell Lancome foundation. I decided to look at some products in the store. I had doubts about a makeup base and decided to try again to find someone else to help me. This time I was lucky the girl who attended me spoke Spanish and she was very attentive. She recommended several products to me and she also offered me other services that the store offers. like for example the service of the hairdresser and the waxing of eyebrows. I had a complete tour of the entire store. I had entered the store just to look and thanks to Beatriz's kindness and good service, I bought about 6 products. I would definitely recommend this place for such friendly and charismatic hardworking...
