Place wasn't on point tonight. Was there for a total of 1 hour 20 minutes for 3 pizzas. When I walked in there was a total of 7 customers in the store 3 employees. There was 2 in front of me ordering. My phone died so I watched the whole time.
5 minutes in 1 employee left for break thats fine they deserve it. The female employee was muttering under her breath with a terrible attitude on her face. Mumbling stuff at the other employee. You could tell by his facial experssions it looks like he was disheartened by what she was saying. Sounded like there was a dissagrement on something before I got there. 0 interaction from here while we waited john was cooking. Simple sorry were backed up or short staffed if you don't mind give us some time would have went a long way.
In the time i was there she finished about 7-9 pizzas all but 2 for mobile orders didnt do much else. Meanwhile John finished about 15+ while taking orders, making pizzas, billing people out, cooking, packaging, and getting dough all while getting an attitude from her.
Other employee comes back from break tells john to get on the line. Stupid move john was in the groove you took over and looked lost right away not knowing what pizzas or what went on the order. You should have went to the line and let him finish cooking and packing what he had.
John carried you guys from what I saw tonight sure he forgot a soda on a togo order. You had people walk out and another couple there for an hour. I hope you agree cause if not you have a bigger problem.
John i hope they change thier attitudes. If I had cash trust me I would have exclusively tipped you. If I come back and your still there best belive I will.
Pizzas were actually good. So good job on...
Read moreI don't understand this place at all. It's yet another fast-food pizza franchise in a world absolutely swimming in pizza restaurants, both chain and non-chain.
In the area I live in (Berks county) you can't drive more than a few miles without seeing a pizza shop on a corner or in a strip mall somewhere. So what makes this new chain different or better?
The pizza reminds me of Litter Caesar's in terms of quality. They're small pies with mediocre, flavorless crust. I guess they have a lot of toppings choices but most pizza shops offer something for everyone already, so this is hardly a revelation or an innovation.
The customer service is so-so. They seem to be hiring to match a certain demographic... think "hipster" or "hippie". The vibe and the music seems to be designed to match that tone as well. Which would be fine in, say, San Francisco, in the 1960s, but in 2024 nation-wide, especially in a blue-collar county like Berks? It just makes me feel uncomfortable.
Honestly, this just looks like another cash-grab franchise concept brewed up in some Manhattan or San Francisco loft amongst a bunch of 20-something entrepeneurs. There's no soul or heart to this concept; it's just mediocre Little Caesar's pizza dressed up in hipster...
Read moreI wish this experience was as great as it was when Mod Pizza was on 5th street. There were three workers and they seemed more interested in talking than giving me my order after it was made. The pizza itself wasn’t up to par or great either. The workers were nice when they talked to you, but they preferred to have private conversations and talk badly about other employees that weren’t there. Left quite a bad taste in my mouth. The pizza was lacking on taste and condiments. I got the Dominic pizza in 11” size. Not sure why the franchise changed the entire menu and portions, but they were fine and much better before. I’m not in any hurry to return to this location. Honeygrow is connected to this location and much better. Just go there and enjoy your meal. A pizza from your average pizza shop is much better and bigger for...
