Beauty Avenue Salon LV — Local services in Spring Valley

I had one of the most unprofessional and disturbing experiences I’ve ever had with Janessa, who works at this salon. I booked a color correction on her StyleSeat and she discussed I would need to come in for a consultation first which I confirmed. She canceled my appointment last minute and told me I could come in the next day instead. When I followed up to ask for a time, she suddenly claimed she was fully booked and told me to check her website. Strangely, I saw no availability on my phone—but when my sister checked from her device, the schedule showed multiple open time slots. It was obvious I was being blocked from booking intentionally with no explanation.

I decided not to proceed with any services and clearly let her know what I experienced and that I would not be rebooking. She responded in a rude way and did not apologize. I then posted an honest review about the experience on her site. In response, Janessa retaliated by manually creating an appointment for me that I never requested, just a few hours out, and charged my card for the full price of the appointment without my consent. I had no way to cancel because of how close it was to the time she scheduled it. She did this knowing I had already declined further services. This wasn’t a misunderstanding—this was deliberate.

What makes it even worse is that when I asked her for a refund instead of taking accountability, she claimed to have filed a police report against me because I left a truthful review.

I have all of the documentation to support every part of this—screenshots, texts, and receipts and I am elevating this. Her behavior is disgusting and I’m appalled that someone like this is allowed to represent a salon that claims to be...

Thank you so much for my beautiful hair jocelyn! The salon is very beautiful and the service is amazing! I’ve had a really hard time finding a good hair stylist to trust with my hair. Until now, I will only go to Jocelyn from now on. She did such an amazing job she gave me EXACTLY what I asked for and better. I had blonde highlights that I was not happy with. I asked Jocelyn for rich brown hair with a lot of dimension. I asked and she delivered, my hair came out even better than what I had envisioned. Didn't have a great experience. My cosmetologist was nice but felt inexperienced - she had to ask others opinions on color mixture, seemed unsure, was aggressively ripping my hair out when she was trying to detangle it after she had teased it (had to ask her to soften up because of how painful it became and my scalp hurt all day after & literally saw clumps of my hair in the brush), washed my hair out with freeeezing cold water (after commenting on how it was cold), and just overall did not give me the look I wanted..
