I was super excited to find a 70 in TV for a great price I picked the TV and continued to look around the guys on the floor had the box off and ask if I wanted to test it again I replied if you checked it I trust your judgment they taped the box and loaded the TV I get home I paid a TV hanger to install and when I turned it on the lcd was cracked I instantly called the lady who answered said to return the TV and no problem they would give me store credit or replace I really wanted the TV I took off work and returned the TV and the manager would not honor what the lady said after reviewing the tape the guys seemed to check the TV but it also showed them moving ,twisting and pulling the TV while it was out of the box with no Styrofoam around it a 70 in TV is super flimsy and isn't made to be handled in that manner after 2 hrs of going back and forth with the manager we both took the TV from the box and simply moved it as the workers did and you could clear as day see that is was extremely possible the lcd could have been cracked he refused to swap out the TV saying he has to speak with the girl who told me come in after calling the number they texted me from asking for a copy of the receipt it was answered by the girl working the floor whom we were told was not answering her phone. I am basically out not just the 420 for the TV but the 1.5 hr each way trip but the half a day i had to take off work because I was told to come in and the item would be swapped I have been sober for 15 yrs I am an honest person if I broke the TV I would be upset but wouldn't have made a big deal nor take the time to drive or miss work for something that was my fault....... it has now been almost 2 weeks and no response when I was told after the manager spoke to the girl who told me it would be exchanged he would call me back I have reached out several time to ask if I could please speak with Brian and I am getting the run around yet again....... here I come back to this review 2 months later my calls seem to get disconnected and still no word from management it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't reseal the box and put it back on the floor horrible customer service I was really hoping this was a place I could spend more money at because the inventory was amazing but after this 429 plus dollar screwing I took and can't even get a returned call or speak to management this isn't where I'm going to spend my hard earned money I was straight up lied to by the employee and the manager they even sold the security guard 3 broken TV bfore he actually got one that worked this is ridiculous I hope they get rid of the scamming manager and lying girl that answered the phone and stood there watching me be called a lier basically based off what she told me....... and in response to the owner you casn not see a crack across the screen it is inside i left the tv at the store because they said i would be contacted bac which damn near a year later still no contact the tv was left after speaking to al few people this is not the first time something like this has happened even the security gaurd went thru 3 different tvs before he got one thst was working. I really wish this experience would have been better because i was super excited to want to spend lots of money there but being i know i truly wasn't responsible for these damages except for i should have had them plug it in again in front of me and as i said in the video AFTER THEY CHECKED IT YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THEM MOVING THE TV AROUND IN A MOTION THST COULD HAVE CRACKED THE LCD INSIDE LIKE IT IS NOT THE SCREEN THERE IS NO CRACK ON THE SCREEN IT IS CRACKED ON THE INSIDE LCD SO FROM LOOKING AT IT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT UNTIL YOU TURN IT ON . I WAS REALKY HOPING THIS WOULD BE MADE RIGHT IM REDOING MY HOUSE AND THERE WERE LOTS OF ITEMS I REALLY WANT TO PURCHASE .THE KICKER IS THEY STILL HAVE THE T.V. I WAS NEVER EVEN CALKED BACK TO PICK UP THE "BROKEN" ONE I BET A PAY CHECK THAT MANAGER BOXED IT BACK UP AND RESOLD IT. They say owner is a geat guy too just...
Read moreWhen our family's Samsung 26 cubic ft side-by-side refrigerator died its 3rd (un)expected death on Christmas Eve Eve 2017, we were about to host 14 people for Christmas dinner.
A family member had graciously given us some surplus equipment and appliances, and fellow Houstonians bought them quickly on Facebook Marketplace and the OfferUp app.
When I shared why we were selling the Kenmore Elite Electric Double Oven -- to buy a replacement fridge ASAP - with the buyer, who is a police investigator, he quickly suggested we check out Treasurez for Less.
February 2017, he'd seen a feature on local TV station ABC13 about the start up discount store. Since then, word of mouth marketing caused sales to soar.
After I shopped at Factory Builder Stores, Ferguson, and Lowe's for end-of-year specials (after Hurricane Harvey helped warehouses sell out), I took a chance and drove to Treasurez for Less.
To our luck, just a few months ago, Treasurez for Less expanded into appliances. And, I found just what we needed: an ENERGY STAR certified 2017 Whirlpool 25.2 cubic foot freezer on bottom, French doors on top, stainless steel, ice maker only, no water in the door, undamaged.
Lowe's last price was $1,529. Treasurez for Less sold it to us for $920, including sales tax.
MUCH more value than buying used from websites and apps.
The owners and staff are extremely approachable, professional, and helpful.
Their goal and brand promise: Making Deals to Remember. Said another way, saving patrons at least 30% off the formerly advertised retail price before liquidation.
How is this possible? The owner procures bulk containers of liquidated new, discontinued, returned, or otherwise unsalable (scratch and dent) merchandise, and culls the containers for salable items.
We look forward to our next appliance crisis. Thank you, Treasurez for Less for saving us this Christmas. Here are 5 stars for your 2017...
Read moreDirty Theives!!! My wife and I bought a dehumidifier for $150.00 from them after finding toxic mold in our home and needing to control the climate better. There were 2 options; one that was out of the box and in very poor condition, and the other packaged and sealed with tape like it was new. Of course, given the sensitivity of our health with the mold, we chose the "new" one.
When we returned home and opened the box, it was filthy and nasty, and had a foul odor to it... it was clear they repackaged a VERY used unit to sell for a higher price-point 🤦
We made the long trek from League City to north Houston (1 hour, 8 minutes) to return the unit after the manager told us they would give us a full refund if we brought it back within 7 days.
upon arriving within the 7 days for the return, the girl at the front register told me that they did not process returns at all, despite what the manager told me when we bought it. After whining and complaining, the manager/owner finished what he was doing and came and told me that there would be no problems and that I could leave the unit and he would process the return and refund later on that evening as he "could not do refunds during business hours." I thought that was pretty odd, but he assured me that they would be handling it after business hours and the money should be available immediately, and that they would call/text me when the refund was processed.
well, that never happened ....
soooo ... now they have both the dehumidifier AND my money, and, after this terrible experience, I would recommend NOT conducting business from these scam artists, no matter how "cheap" the price.
on top of that, I told them that I was going to write this review if they didn't make it right and refund the money, and they still stole from my family...
