My daughter and I had appointments back in April. We have been loyal customers for many years but this was our first experience with the Springdale location. Upon arriving, the staff were not welcoming and inviting. We were stared at, but not greeted by them. We started looking around at glasses, then a staff member came over and asked for my insurance card without even introducing herself. The staff member then asked for the last numbers of my ssn out loud with other customers around. The same staff member came back to us a few minutes later and said that she couldn't find my daughter on my insurance policy and that I must have a different insurance card for her. I knew that wasn't true. So I "invited myself" to her desk so we could figure it out. I asked her questions to verify that she entered the insurance info correctly and my daughter's info correctly, in which she did not! Once I pointed out that she entered my daughter's info incorrectly, she was able to find my daughter under my policy. She never apologized but just offered an excuse that the apostrophe in my daughter's name was to blame. However, I told her multiple times how to spell my daughter's name, her listening skills are to blame not my daughters name.
THEN, when it was my daughter's turn to see the doctor, he clearly called her name to come into the office. But, another patient entered the office instead and the doctor shut the door before we could say anything. I'm thinking that the doctor will verify the patient and figure out quickly that he has the wrong patient. But when a couple minutes went by, I realized that he didn't figure it out. So I went to a staff member to let them know. The staff informed the doctor of the patient mix up. The wrong patient exited the doctors office and my daughter was called in. The doctor didn't apologized for the error and just started asking vision questions. I stopped the doctor and asked "Do you have the correct chart for the correct patient this time?" And he replied yes with a little irritation and blamed the staff for the error; and stated that the patients have similar first names. However, shouldn't a doctor verify the patient identity by asking for a full name and DOB? Especially after making an error like mixing up patients.
After our appointments, my daughter realized that 3 plus weeks had passed and no one called to tell us to pick up our glasses. So I called the store and confirmed that the glasses had arrived the week or so prior. I asked why we didn't get a call and the staff member responded that she didn't know but I can come pick them up. I picked up our glasses with the intention of NEVER coming back to this location!
Now, 4 months later...I get a call from this location to tell me that my contacts are available for pick up. I was really confused because I thought they gave me my contacts before I left for my appointment but so much time has passed, I don't really remember if they did or not. But either way, why did it take 4 months to call me to pick them up?
I think this location needs some restructure and customer...

I walked into America's Best for an eye exam for both my girls and bought my twin boys as well. The lady then mention not on the phone when scheduling an appointment but right when I entered that they had a limit, so ask me if I could leave the boys outside or in the car. I said no they are minor I mean come on 8 years olds. At that point I was the only customer there so anyways they took all our temperature and asked if we were exposed to COVID and made me sign the paper... ok fine I did all that thinking itâs the procedure... they sat my boys on the corners till I got everything done. The optometrists was extremely nice But when it came time for me to pick out my glasses everything changed. Like everyone else, My daughters viewed the pairs of glasses and tried them on. Out of nowhere this lady (who was one of the clerks) told me, when I put the glasses on, to place them in a small plastic clear bend that she handed me. At the time I thought nothing of it due to the fact of Covid-19 protocols being put in placed in many establishments throughout the city. But I noticed there was another woman who was picking out glasses as well, and she wasn't handed a bend. Not only that there were total of 19 people inside the store and the new comers werenât taken the temperature nor where they ask to sign the papers... it was disappointing to see how they treated us. I paid for the glasses and walked out and I started crying in front of my kids...they kept on saying mom itâs ok stop crying...anyways Four of my kids have been getting eyeglasses from them since 5 years now. No thank you I am done with...
