DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAM!
Went to look at new beds. Sales person followed us around like a lost puppy the whole time we were in there (but stayed like 20 feet away so it was a bit creepy). When we finally made our decision they didnāt have it in stock (no big deal). Sales man said it could be delivered in less than a week. Went to pay, sales man took my card from me and didnāt let me put my card in the machine (this is important for later).
When we got home I looked at the receipt and there was a $150 charge for delivery and assembly which we were NEVER made aware of! Called customer service to have it removed and agreed to pick it up at another store (over an hour away mind you.) They then said we would have to wait 3 WEEKS to pick it up! Even though home delivery was less than one week???
Had my order refunded and cancelled. Then I got an email stating āThank you for signing!ā I quickly checked and saw someone at Bobs Discount Furniture had forged my signature onto the receipt!!! I called the store back and they said the manager was busy but she assured me that the manager would call me back within 30 minutes. An hour later I called asking why I hadnāt heard back yet. Whoever answered my second call honestly deserves a raise. He was super polite and shared what seemed to be a genuine concern about the situation. He said he sent an email to the York store explaining the situation and said they would get back to me as soon as possible. It was near the end of the day so I didnāt expect a call same day. Next day rolls by and yet again, no word from the manager.
That just shows he has ZERO plans to hold himself, his employees, and everyone else involved accountable and has ZERO respect for his customers.
After speaking with Jon, a manager at the York location. He became extremely disrespectful and hung up on me as I was trying to explain myself. He admitted to an associate forging my name on a receipt, as well as another associate lying to me by saying āsignatures automatically populate when receipt are createdā.
EDIT: Jon said he made a note in my customer profile that āmy signatureā was voided. After speaking with 2 associates and corporate, I was told there is in fact no way to āvoidā a receipt or signature. All they can do is cancel orders. So yet again, the MANAGER, lied to me. Bobs reached out to me to rectify the situation (they probably just wanted me to change my review). During this phone call the lady admitted that when the DocuSign is created, associates click a box that signs the customers name on the receipt without the customer being able to read the terms of service they are agreeing to by āsigningā.
We got a different frame from another furniture store. No BS. No shady sales. They were upfront about delivery cost and pick up windows from the store.
I will NEVER consider shopping at Bobs Discount Furniture again, let alone step foot...

I furnished my last house here 2 years ago and had an amazing experience. So when I ended up in a situation this weekend where I needed to find my mom a new mattress set as fast as possible I immediately looked at the bobs website before anywhere else. I found a set I was interested in ordering today, but decided to go to the store to test it before purchasing online. We were met at the door by a man who had no interest in helping us and his attitude was so poor, I wasnāt even willing to look at other options because I could not buy from him. I came in with the intention of ordering same day because it said online I could see it in store at this location. I showed him what I was looking for and he informed me that was ānot in that store and that online says a lot of thingsā. I asked if they had it in Lancaster for us to look at and he said he didnāt know because clearly the website is wrong. He did not offer us other options of mattresses we could look at instead. As someone who works in sales, this was terrible service. I was the easiest upsell of the day coming in with the intention to buy to solve a problem. After this interaction I couldnāt bring myself to walk through the store to look at anything else, especially when thereās a mattress firm next door and a mattress warehouse across the street. The sales people at this store need to be better trained. If you donāt have an item, fine. Train your people to show them a similar item to get the sale. Instead he let us walk out. Now Iām torn because I loved the service I got in Lancaster so I want to go back there, but after this experience Iām tempted to go elsewhere all together. My mom feels I wasted her time bringing her out of the house for nothing so she does not wish to do business here. My house is currently on the market and I planned on furnishing my new house with Bobās again, but now I am considering other options after this experience. If you want to purchase from Bobās I highly recommend the trip to Lancaster over...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered a bedroom set from Bobs, and was told it would not be delivered for a few weeks. It took over a month for the set to become available. Once delivery was scheduled, the drivers did arrive in on time, and were very nice and respectful. However, half of the set was badly broken (Chest and Dresser). The delivery team sat on the phone with me and bobs and rescheduled, they guaranteed me that the furniture would be inspected before it was put on the truck and delivered again. So the following Saturday the delivery team takes the furniture off the truck and donāt even completely unwrap it before itās obvious that it wasnāt inspected and it was once again broken. So once again we reschedule delivery and the lady on the phone says I will be compensated with a refund back to my credit card. Finally today they deliver again, and finally furniture isnāt broken, and all they will give me is $100 store credit on a $2500 bedroom set. Iāve tipped the delivery team $20 each visit, on what should be only one delivery, but now Iām out $60 and have $100 store credit towards a store I will never shop at again. Wonderful. Donāt bother going to bobs, itās not any cheaper than Raymour and Flanagan, and itās definitely not as nice, and they never have...
