This has still NOT been resolved!!!! They called and said they would issue a refund and never issued it!!! Now, I was told it was never sent to process! This is so unprofessional! No one has called to apologize. No one has reached out to fix this issue. I have called the York store, I have called all of the numbers on the back of the card, and I have even sent multiple emails! Do NOT purchase furniture at this location!!!! No one contacts you or attempts to resolve/follow through with their agreement!! Please support a business that supports you!! Buyer beware!!!
I am very displeased with our purchase. We purchased a couch and 2 chairs. One chair had a tear and stains on it. They told me that they didn't have any more chairs so all they could was discount the one chair slightly. I bought all items so they would fill a room. It took several phone calls before this concern was addressed. In addition, we paid for all furniture to be stain treated. The furniture came wrapped in dirty plastic that looked like it had been on the furniture for a very long time. They told me that the furniture treatment for which I paid extra was treated 2 days prior. I asked if it was treated two days prior then why was it wrapped in dirty plastic and how did they not notice the stains and the rip. This issue has still not been resolved after almost 4 weeks. I have called, I have left messages, and emailed. One person called and abruptly told me that she couldn't help me and we have not received any information since about a week ago. I am very displeased with customer service and how this situation has been handled. I feel as though I paid extra for a service that was not provided. I would not recommend making a large furniture purchase at this store.
*I did email all of the information and no one has called us back. That is why I wrote this review so that others know about the customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love this store but my last visit was poor. We went on a day that wasn't busy, so I understand for the most part but because of the lack of training and engagement from brick and mortar stores, these types of department stores are closing. People don't want to waste their time going to a store that has poor customer service when they can receive the same poor customer service through online shopping. Long story short we were shopping through apparel, and eventually we were trying on dresses in the fitting room. Thankfully, we are honest people and were not stealing but if we were, it would have been the best time. The girl standing behind the cash register literally never looked up from her phone once to acknowledge our presence (which deters theft)- and I was in and out of that fitting room dozens of times and not once did she look up. Eventually I stopped trying on dresses and just decided to go with the summer shirt and scarf I had picked out. We stood at the counter and walked around the premises of the counter by the fitting room hoping she would look up for more than two seconds- but no avail. I put my shirt back immediately and just left. I had some money to spend but I am not going to beg your employees to ring me up. I strongly recommend management finding out who this person was and informing her about the importance and safety of her surroundings first of all and then telling her about the possible $200+ sale she could have had if she would have been paying attention to her surroundings more. As someone who works in retail, I understand that at times it can be boring and some days just aren't your days. And I too, have checked my phone while on the sales floor. But regardless of these bad days, you should always try to engage in your surroundings and find a way to make it a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have mixed feelings about Boscovs Id hate to see it go we dont have any old school dpt stores anymore and sometimes ya have to go in a brick and mortar. Finding cashiers is a hassle and I recently ordered purses online and they came beautifully wrapped and packed (old school service certainly not that major online store ...zon)! That said when i chose one and returned the rest the problem began...I took my return to handbags and the girl couldnt scan the bar code on packing slip without my credit card which was out in my car my fault really, (but your competitor can) then she refused to take the pantie pack she made me return them to the exact dpt (they were not opened or anything she just didnt want to walk them over there after). The older woman ( Im not super young btw) in the intimates area did not know how to do an online order return she did not tell me this till a good 10 min in the situation (was asking me for ideas???) and five min more trying before she said I think you should go to another register. Im like what? I was told I had to come here. And why couldnt she ask for help? The girl in yet a third dpt did the return no problem when i asked why the lady in under garments didnt know how to do this she replied " ive shown her how several times now.". She did apologize but it wasnt her fault. I see why this store has problems staying afloat when you cant ring out without searching for a cashier its really annoying and has happened over and over, its mostly why I rarely shop there anymore. Also the clothe in the plus dpt is so jammed tight you cant get thru' the aisles ( I mean it is the plus dpt folks). Oh and shoes you have to ask for help for a lot of the stock and the clerk is always tied up. Too much hassle. Sooo mixed...
