We went to this nail salon on a Thursday to do nails for an event on Saturday. A French manicure is what I asked for and typically, it has a separate charge, which is understandable because it has a unique design. Not even a day had passed when the nail polish used on my nails began cracking (Friday morning) and the white tips were chipping off. Keep in mind, I had no dishes to wash whatsoever nor did I do any other activities to damage my nails from Thursday evening until Friday morning yet the quality of their materials were so bad that the manicure cracked and chipped off, ruining my nails. Saturday morning before the event, I visited the nail salon to see if the person who did my nails was available to repaint the chipped off parts. I was even willing to pay them for their service even though it was their own poor quality materials that caused the mishap. When I arrived, nobody was willing to even hear me out as they were busy with other customers. They asked me from afar what the problem was, and worried I would scare off their customers when I explained that my nail polish from a day before had chipped off, they proceeded to tell me to please leave and come back another time because they were busy. I asked them, “I did my nails on Thursday so I could be stress-free until my event but instead I have to be here for a touchup and you don’t even care to hear my problem?”. They said “Oh well maybe we can help you, come back tomorrow”. Confused, I reminded them that my event was today. Because I understood that they may be occupied with customers at that moment, I asked how long it might take to simple repaint the chipped off polish to which they again responded “A couple of hours or come back tomorrow”. On top of that, the day of my original visit, the man doing my mother’s nails cut her toenails far too short and made them bleed 3 different times throughout the visit. She also paid for a “special foot treatment pedicure” yet my basic pedicure had a longer lasting service. For her hands, she wanted a glossy white or silver, which I personally don’t think should be such a hard request, but it took that man and 3 other workers to look for a color. Still unable to do so, they told my mom to begin her manicure (filing and cutting) so that they could still make money off her, despite not first showing her the color she wanted or ensuring they have it. When time came to polish her finger nails, the worker “convinced” her to use a BROWN glittery color which she wasn’t truly satisfied with. Also, her nails began chipping off a day later as well. While neither of us did gel treatment, even the nail polish I do at home lasts longer than 12 hours. What was the point of coming to the salon? I ended up retouching the polish myself and regretting my entire visit. Truly unprofessional and...
Read moreI got a new set of dip powder nails. She was quick and the nails turned out nice. I had asked for French tip for two of my nails and was charged another $15 for the “design”. The next day I noticed bubbles under my nails and didnt think much of it, the third day there were more so I had to go back. Another issue I had was that the top coat had chipped off on almost all of my nails. I don’t do house work or anything without gloves, so that was weird. When I went back to get her fix it she wasn’t happy I was back. She had some dude look at my nails. It was so awkward because he just made me sit at his desk and wait. He was all skeptical about why I was even back. When I showed him the problem he didn’t even seem to see it lol. It as so weird. After a long wait she came to fix my nails. I was not comfortable and felt like she was gossiping about me with one of her coworkers. It wasn’t nice at all. She filed off the first coat of the dip powder and put clear coat on it. The nails weren’t sparkly anymore because she took it off. When I told her she came back with some random nail polish in that color and started painting the tips of my nails with that nail polish. It was as if a child had done it and I was just shocked and couldn’t believe she is serious with that. I told her no! She finally came back with the dipping powder that was originally used but again did it so sloppy. The tips were uneven and not even level with the rest of the nail bed. She saw I was very unhappy. She took off the powder and I told her to just file it off and leave it as she had in the first place. Yes my nails wouldn’t be as sparkly anymore but it was still better than everything else she was trying to do. She just did that with 2 and the other 2 nails she left with the horrible uneven powder. I left and the next day there is a huge bubble of the top coat on my nail. I couldn’t believe it and called again. She would me to come back. Now at this point I don’t know how many times am I supposed to go back and get something fixed that was just done? Aren’t they supposed to do it right from the start. I told her I was very uncomfortable going back, especially with the attitude she was having the last time. She apologized and told me to come back to get it fixed. When I went back she assigned me to some other girl. She did a quick and clean job, fixed it and it was all good after that.
I didn’t appreciate the attitude and the hassle of going back twice for the...
Read moreUpdating from the one star review I left yesterday. I was immediately called after leaving the review and asked to come back in so they can fix. I’m upset that they would even let me walk out of there with that kind of manicure. I was not going to stand there and argue with them but I also should have been heard when I said I did not like the design and even showed the owner (or who I believe to be the owner/manager) what I was walking out with. I was not able to go back the same day as I had already been there for 2 and a half hours. I went back in today to see Elly and she fixed everything. Between the shape, the top coat, and the design, she did well. I will give them another chance only because Elly clearly knows what she is doing with dip powder and design.
Again, the first manicure I received was very poor quality and I’m shocked that that was not addressed at all. She did a horrible manicure with an ugly design and burned/cut me with the nail file. That’s the only reason I cannot leave a full five star review. I will update again once I go back in to see Elly.
First review from 12/18/21… Really disappointed for the second and last time. The last picture is what I wanted. I called ahead to make sure they had someone available to do dip powder with design. He promised me they did. Not only did she cut/burn me with the nail file, it was a poor quality dip powder manicure. She rushed through the design after she did my pinky and ring finger. I got there around 12 and then left at 2:20. For how long I was there I expected better quality. It was $75 and I still gave her a $10 tip. I wanted to argue the price but I realize that is the cost when you get design. I would not have made a big deal about price if the design was better quality. After leaving I immediately called to make an appointment with another salon to get this fixed but since it’s the holidays I can’t get in anywhere until next week. All in all I will not be back as they do not put out quality work...
