To be honest, this was my first visit to this place, and it will definitely be my last. I won't recommend it to any of my friends. This is the Korean BBQ restaurant with the lowest value for money that I've experienced in the DMV area. I've dined at no less than 20 Korean BBQ places in this area where, with around $30 per person, you can enjoy a pretty decent meal. Shockingly, we were charged $46 per person here!
We, three adults and a baby, decided to try it despite the costly menu, hoping that the quality of the meat would justify the high price. However, we were disappointed. First, regarding the Korean side dishes, there were only four options, all extremely common, with no distinctive features or delicacies. The meat selection was limited and not uniquely marinated, tasting very average. Third, we chose "all you can eat," and astonishingly they charged us extra for steamed eggs! The ramen we ordered turned out to be instant noodles, which is utterly unacceptable given the high price of $46 per person!
Fourth, the waiting time for a seat and for the food was quite long. We entered the restaurant around 5pm on a Monday when there were only a few tables occupied, but we had to wait for twenty minutes before getting a table, and the BBQ also took a long time to arrive.
In conclusion, this is an extremely ordinary Korean BBQ restaurant: average dishes, average meat quality, average service, average ambiance. I really don't understand why they dared to charge $46 per person. The shopping center it's located in isn't even a high-cost area. I want to ask the owner, who gave you the courage to charge such a high price?
While waiting for our food, I looked up Google reviews and found a high rating of 4.6. Reading the comments, someone 11 months ago mentioned that $36 per person was a bit pricey but the meat quality was good. We came today and found the price had skyrocketed to $46 per person. I can only say: seriously? Those customers who gave a 4.6 rating probably don't know the market price of Korean BBQ in the DMV area. The Korean BBQ restaurants in Annandale and Centreville don't even charge this much. To put it simply: I do not...
Read moreThe potential for a great AYCE experience is here, thanks to the high quality of the food. Unfortunately, our dinner was undermined by a series of frustrating restaurant policies that made the meal slow and a middling value for the price.
Pros: The quality of the meats was excellent. The thick-cut pork belly was a standout, and the large intestine was a pleasant surprise.
Cons:
For $40 per person, we expected to leave stuffed and satisfied. Instead, due to the slow pace forced by the restaurant's policies, we only managed to get through a few rounds of meat in 90 minutes. I have been eating AYCE KBBQ for decades and have never left feeling barely full and disappointed as I was after my dinner at...
Read moreIf I could give this place six stars, I would! From the moment we stepped through the doors, the warm aroma of sizzling meats and their pepper and salt combo whispered, “You’re about to have the meal of your life.” And boy, was that promise fulfilled. The service? Impeccable. Our server was like a culinary ninja—silent and swift, yet somehow always there exactly when we needed a refill on kimchi or a tip on the perfect grill timing for our food. The food? Chef’s kiss. The beef was so tender it felt like it had signed a peace treaty with my taste buds. The spicy chicken had just the right kick, and the bulgogi? Let’s just say they made me question every other Korean BBQ I’ve ever eaten. Even the side dishes were star players—if I could bottle up their pasta salad, I’d start a black-market operation. What truly made the night unforgettable, though, was the sense of community around the table. Sharing the grill, laughing over who burned their tongue on the first piece (it was me), and fighting for the last fries brought us all closer. It wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience that fed both the stomach and the soul. Also, a warning: You will smell like glorious BBQ for hours afterward. But honestly, that just makes you the envy of everyone within a 10-foot radius. To sum it up, this place isn’t just a restaurant—it’s therapy, comedy, and a love letter to your taste buds all rolled into one. Go. Thank me later. (But seriously, don’t touch the bulgogi before it’s ready. Trust me, it’s...
