To be honest, this was my first visit to this place, and it will definitely be my last. I won't recommend it to any of my friends. This is the Korean BBQ restaurant with the lowest value for money that I've experienced in the DMV area. I've dined at no less than 20 Korean BBQ places in this area where, with around $30 per person, you can enjoy a pretty decent meal. Shockingly, we were charged $46 per person here! We, three adults and a baby, decided to try it despite the costly menu, hoping that the quality of the meat would justify the high price. However, we were disappointed. First, regarding the Korean side dishes, there were only four options, all extremely common, with no distinctive features or delicacies. The meat selection was limited and not uniquely marinated, tasting very average. Third, we chose "all you can eat," and astonishingly they charged us extra for steamed eggs! The ramen we ordered turned out to be instant noodles, which is utterly unacceptable given the high price of $46 per person! Fourth, the waiting time for a seat and for the food was quite long. We entered the restaurant around 5pm on a Monday when there were only a few tables occupied, but we had to wait for twenty minutes before getting a table, and the BBQ also took a long time to arrive. In conclusion, this is an extremely ordinary Korean BBQ restaurant: average dishes, average meat quality, average service, average ambiance. I really don't understand why they dared to charge $46 per person. The shopping center it's located in isn't even a high-cost area. I want to ask the owner, who gave you the courage to charge such a high price? While waiting for our food, I looked up Google reviews and found a high rating of 4.6. Reading the comments, someone 11 months ago mentioned that $36 per person was a bit pricey but the meat quality was good. We came today and found the price had skyrocketed to $46 per person. I can only say: seriously? Those customers who gave a 4.6 rating probably don't know the market price of Korean BBQ in the DMV area. The Korean BBQ restaurants in Annandale and Centreville don't even charge this much. To put it simply: I do not recommend this place!

I wish I could give a zero star. This was by far THE WORST Korean food I’ve ever had. We ordered cold noodles and this meat called tail flap something (salchisal). The meat was TOUGH and chewy like I was chewing on a bubble gum. Before we ordered, I asked the server if the meat is lean and tender as I am not able to digest like normal people, she said it’s lean and “no fat”. LIES. Next, the cold noodles. It came out with a whole bunch of ice with pickled cucumbers, radishes and half of hard boiled egg on top. I took the first bite and immediately vomited because it tasted straight up like “fridge”. I don’t know how to describe this smell and taste but it seriously tasted like it was sitting in a fridge and absorbed all kinds thing that are in the fridge smell oh also some kind of chemical. I don’t know if it was the ice that caused this smell and taste but I just couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I stopped eating everything right there. So right before we asked for the bill, I wanted to give my noodles another chance. By this point, all the ice melted. So I took another bite and sure enough, vomited everything. I even told my husband that I regret convincing him to try this place. I’m Korean so I know how the food should taste and HELL NO, this place was not it. NEVER COMING BACK. They’re also not cheap FYI.

First visit. My server is new. Is her first day. The restaurant should really train her. I had the AYCE. The ramen noodle is instant ramen noodle. As you can see in the picture, there is still the soup or spice wrapper in the soup. Found that in the end. The Ribeye is only one per person. But my server don’t know how to cook. She had the grill on low and was slowly cooking it. The result is that the ribeye is overcook, and the surface is not caramelize. This should be done in high heat to quickly get the surface caramelized and control for the internal temperature. Also, I stopped her, but she was going to continue cooking ashes grilled from previous cook. Is fine that she is new, but is absurd that no one is showing her how to do things properly before having her to serve someone who come here for the first time. The AYCE is $45. The normal portion they serve is way too big. For one person, I recommend to have them only serve 1/4 per dish so that you can try as many different dishes as you can.

The potential for a great AYCE experience is here, thanks to the high quality of the food. Unfortunately, our dinner was undermined by a series of frustrating restaurant policies that made the meal slow and a middling value for the price.

Pros: The quality of the meats was excellent. The thick-cut pork belly was a standout, and the large intestine was a pleasant surprise.

Cons:

  1. Restaurant policy says that we could only order two meats at a time, and that we couldn't order the next round until finishing what we had. This rule caused us to have to wait 5-10 minutes between orders - i.e. just sitting around, nothing to eat or cook.
  2. Our friendly server was required by management to cook for us. Unfortunately, she seemed new and wasn't set up for success. Our heat was constantly turned down to the minimum, meaning that our cook times were long and our meats not having any Maillard reaction... the marinated ribs were very sadly grey.
  3. We were charged for a Melona popsicle that wasn't listed on the menu, which we had assumed was a complimentary dessert as is common in many KBBQ places.
  4. We ran into a minor billing issue (partially our fault), but management was unwilling to directly help resolve it.

For $40 per person, we expected to leave stuffed and satisfied. Instead, due to the slow pace forced by the restaurant's policies, we only managed to get through a few rounds of meat in 90 minutes. I have been eating AYCE KBBQ for decades and have never left feeling barely full and disappointed as I was after my dinner at...

If I could give this place six stars, I would! From the moment we stepped through the doors, the warm aroma of sizzling meats and their pepper and salt combo whispered, “You’re about to have the meal of your life.” And boy, was that promise fulfilled. The service? Impeccable. Our server was like a culinary ninja—silent and swift, yet somehow always there exactly when we needed a refill on kimchi or a tip on the perfect grill timing for our food. The food? Chef’s kiss. The beef was so tender it felt like it had signed a peace treaty with my taste buds. The spicy chicken had just the right kick, and the bulgogi? Let’s just say they made me question every other Korean BBQ I’ve ever eaten. Even the side dishes were star players—if I could bottle up their pasta salad, I’d start a black-market operation. What truly made the night unforgettable, though, was the sense of community around the table. Sharing the grill, laughing over who burned their tongue on the first piece (it was me), and fighting for the last fries brought us all closer. It wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience that fed both the stomach and the soul. Also, a warning: You will smell like glorious BBQ for hours afterward. But honestly, that just makes you the envy of everyone within a 10-foot radius. To sum it up, this place isn’t just a restaurant—it’s therapy, comedy, and a love letter to your taste buds all rolled into one. Go. Thank me later. (But seriously, don’t touch the bulgogi before it’s ready. Trust me, it’s...
