⭐☆☆☆☆ Disappointing Experience — Poor Food Quality Overshadows All

🥘 Food Quality – Severely Lacking Stopped by Nirala after a refreshing morning walk, hoping to enjoy a classic Desi breakfast. Unfortunately, what we were served was extremely disappointing. The oil used across all items—poori, bhatura, paratha, and even the jalebi—tasted old, overused, and borderline rancid. The heavy, burnt flavor completely ruined the dishes and made the meal feel greasy and unpleasant. It was clear the frying oil had not been changed in a long time.

⚠️ Consistency in Issues This wasn’t a one-off problem with a single item. Every dish had the same stale-oil aftertaste, suggesting a larger issue in the kitchen. It raises serious concerns about food safety and attention to hygiene. For a place serving breakfast staples, this is simply unacceptable.

✅ Only Positive – Clean Restroom The only thing worth mentioning positively was the bathroom—it was surprisingly clean and well-kept, which stood in contrast to the poor food quality. Unfortunately, cleanliness in the restroom doesn’t make up for the compromised food on the plate.

🙁 Overall Impression Despite polite staff and a modest setup, the meal itself was a total miss. Springfield has several Desi spots that serve fresh, flavorful food. Based on this experience, Nirala isn’t among them—at least not right now. I won’t be returning unless they seriously address their kitchen practices, especially how often they...

MY REVIEW IS PURELY BASED ON THE SWEETS SELECTION! We've been going to Niralla for years, after our go-to place for sweets closed their shop. Somehow we stumbled upon Niralla and they had the same taste we'd been craving. We have never eaten or ordered from the restaurant at all, so I cannot comment on anything to do with that side of the business (I cannot review food, taste, service, etc.). The location is a part of many nearby shops with different ethnic varieties, ample parking, and close to the highway. There is an abundance of sweets to choose from, many types of barfi, a few jalabees and ladoos, and much, much more! The sweets are delicious and decadent, mouth watering. I typically stop by Niralla to buy treats for family and friends as gifts and it's always a huge hit! You will not be disappointed. Service is prompt and attentive by staff. Pricing is as expected for these desserts; weight is by the pound, not count. I'd recommend the sweets section of this business; my family and I always go...

The Bhindi masala is AWFUL...........forget about the taste the bhindi, it didnt stand up to its name i.e. Bhindi Masala...there was no masala and it was very bland even on salt level. They really need to remove this item if they dont know how to cook it. Bhindi was so soggy and yucky. I also ordered Aloo Paratha, which was bad too. My first experience on Aloo Paratha was really good. This shows they are inconsistent with their orders everyday. You never know what you will get-the good or the bad. Besides this they charged me wrong. They switched my price on to my friends card and vice versa despite of repeating the order name and number. Another highlight of this restaurant is WEBSITE AND ACTUAL MENU PRICES ARE DIFFERENT.The real menu prices are higher. They need to change that. They are fooling people this way. Their sweets are good and Vegetable Biryani is good too as I had it once. And for Godsake remove THE...

I wanted to leave a positive review for this mithai shop, but my experience was disappointing. They charged $2 for each fancy mithai box, then weighed the mithai inside the box, which was quite heavy. I ended up paying around $9 for just 4 pieces of mithai. When I questioned why the mithai wasn't weighed separately, I was told it’s their policy. This felt like a rip-off, and it's disheartening when a local business takes advantage of customers. I hope they reconsider their pricing practices to ensure fair rates and retain their customers. I’m unsure if I'll return for larger mithai orders
