Nestled on the corner of Center and Main is a quiet, welcoming spot for locals. Where most fire department and police department locations in a city are part of a business section - and LOOK the part surrounded by jammed parking, an excess of concrete and brick - the area of Art City tells a story of a local culture where the government wants to care for and encourage the citizens.
From picnic tables, to park benches, waterfalls and splash pads, and a little playground in this same vicinity, there's plenty to do!
I can easily imagine spending an entire day. Pack a picnic. Grab the swimsuits. Be prepared to take pictures, as this little unnamed park near the civic center is FILLED with statues and memorial in observance of their history and the contributions and presence of the people along the way. There are vending machines near the park, even, to offer cold drinks. Even the splash pad was designed and built to odder more than just the typical play. Small statues of children surround the edge, and extend their arms in joy, excitement, and symbols of "Welcome! Join in!"

The city council is so old most of them won’t email you back for weeks. Or you’ll be handed off to the chief of police. What a joke! To get anything done you have to show up in person. On their YouTube they have comments turned off but invite you to join them and speak in person. To bad you have to fill out a form first that has to be reviewed before you can speak.
