Our Washer was purchased in Feb 2016 and broke down a few weeks ago. We called #GeekSquad for #warranty service on 11/18/17. The first time they sent a tech out, they told me the wrong time so we were out of town. The second time they sent a tech out, they had the wrong address taken down so said they couldn't come out or the warranty would not cover. The third time they sent a tech out, he wrote non-conclusive notes that "rear tub bearing noise inst cust we wont service this".
All three times, we have taken half-days or entire days off of work to be home for these technicians. We are now being told they need to send a tech out a 4th time to get more conclusive notes to see what would be covered under warranty, taking ANOTHER day off of work. NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!!!
Every time we call #GeekSquad we get a run around. They send a ticket to a third party (the warranty company) who initiates a 4th party (the repair company) to pick up the ticket and schedule the repair. It takes days to get any answers.
DO NOT RELY ON A WARRANTY FROM #GEEKSQUAD to make your purchase...
Read moreThey were nice and talked to me before my appointment time. They fixed one person's problem for pretty much free cause she had an alternate port to charge from she didn't know about.
All I needed was a graphics card removed and SSD put in. I couldn't get the card out without a plastic trim tool cause of the angle and location.
They could do that for me for $140 and 2-3 days later.
My PC is my life and I'm not going without it for 3 days. Much less on a job that would take several minutes because they want to test parts and run an inspection. That's not what I want them to do, and more so they don't need to run diagnostics on it. It's hardware install not software. So not only did I have to lug my 20lb case from the parking lot inside, I had to lug it back when I declined upset that I have to order all the extra tools myself cause my current kit no longer viable with the new layouts of mother boards, SSD, and...
Read moreThe 20 minute free geek squad session to help us with new iPad questions was not helpful at all. Person who was “helping” us commented that she doesn’t know Apple. What the heck... I like Best Buy and had never had issues before- this is the first time we had a geek squad session- I wasn’t impressed. Ended up being told to call Apple. Wasted 120 mile trip. Also asked about them opening up my Macbook laptop to remove rice (glass water on keyboard- didn’t think that the rice would get into the crack by hinge area-but computer still works but with some keyboard issues due to the rice). They said they won’t since it is out of warranty...why won’t they do it for a fee? Strange. Will bring to a local computer guy instead.... and maybe he can answer our iPad questions too. Learn your...
