Such a cool place I had no idea existed! On a whim, I tried their MO bourbon at Westport Social and loved it. Decided to look them up online and discovered that not only are they 10min from my house, but they have a tour! We snagged the last 2 tickets for the last tour of the day the following afternoon.

Il the tour was so fun. And the variety of spirits, the playful flavors and labels, the science behind it, the apothecary style space, the open invite to visit Friday nights - it all combines to be easily one of the coolest businesses. David is hilarious, too. The kind of guy you want to hang out with and listen to his stories - preferably while drinking some of his Bloody Butcher bourbon. :) This isn't your Lux Row or Maker's distillery tour experience --- this is raw, unfiltered, real life distilling by a local craft distiller who is clearly passionate about his art and serious about his science. He's living his best life, and bring to know StilL 630 will enhance yours.

He makes everything but vodka. If you think you don't like gin (which was me going in), try theirs. The flavors are intriguing. It's not like the turpentine of my grandparent's basement bar. I would bet in a cocktail it's even better. I've never had anything like the Sorghum whisky or the rum. Definitely worth the taste! But as a bourbon girl, I'm really loving the MO Bourbon and the...

Still 630 Distillery is a true hidden gem in St. Louis, offering not just exceptional spirits but an unforgettable experience. What makes this distillery stand out is the owner, who also happens to be the tour guide. Their passion and expertise are immediately evident as they lead you through the distillery. It's clear that they’re not just knowledgeable about the process; they live and breathe it. Every step of the tour is filled with fascinating insights about the distillation process, the craft behind each spirit, and the personal stories that make 630 Distillery unique.

The quality of the spirits is top-notch. Whether you're sampling their smooth whiskey or flavorful gin, it’s clear that no detail is overlooked in the creation of each bottle. The flavors are rich and well-balanced, making each sip a delight for the senses.

As for the vibe, 630 Distillery offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The tour is intimate and engaging, and the tasting room has a cozy, laid-back feel. The owner’s passion for what they do adds an extra layer of warmth and charm to the entire experience.

The product we sampled was quite good and the tour was OK, but it felt like it was very understaffed. There were tours every hour on the hour and if you arrived early for your tour it was very unclear what you were supposed to do or where you were supposed to go. The one guy working just assumed that everyone had booked tours tours online, but I know that at least another couple in our group had just walked in and joined our tour and did not schedule in advance. During the time we were there quite a number of people were just walking in and you could tell it was frustrating to the guy working because he had to keep stopping his tour spiel to ask what they wanted, and he was frankly a little rude at times to people who just walked in. It seems there should be more than one person working on the days when tours are conducted, or at least have a sign posted that it is for scheduled tours only, no walk-ins, and if you arrive early, just wait back near the door,...or something to...

We booked a tour on a whim while passing through St. Louis and I’m glad that we did! This place is amazing. It’s fun, like a mad scientist’s lab. Loads to learn and some really good spirits. They have so many different varieties that I was prepared to be disappointed but quite the opposite—most were highly enjoyable, smooth, and full-bodied. I can’t even fault those that I was not wild about, just a difference in palette. We returned later to purchase some experimental bottles (18 in total) and they’re a lot of fun. We’re keeping a log of our thoughts and favorites. This place is definitely worth checking out if you’re in town. Only possible complaint is a rather sad selection of merch. We were really hoping for a hat. But bottles and glasses will have to do.

Thank you David, for hosting such a great Grain to Glass tour last weekend. This was our first visit to StilL 630, and we look forward to returning on upcoming Fridays to try the new experimentals/Library Cocktails. The Grain to Glass tour begins with an introduction to the distillery and distillation processes. Throughout the experience David passionately tells his story, and is happy to answer any questions. The tour then concludes with a tasting at the bar, where visitors are treated to a few samples of the current spirits line-up. After trying several samples, we went home with a bottle of the Missouri Straight Bourbon Whiskey (April batch) and a Moonwalker candle. Pro Tip: Wear loose clothing in the warmer months, it's toasty inside!
