I grew up with White Castle locations being all around. Unfortunately, I have lived in a state where there are ZERO locations. So when I get a chance to get them......I GET THEM!!! This location was by far, THE WORST, I have ever experienced!!! Not only did I visit it once but I gave it a few days and stopped AGAIN! ( I feel like anybody can have a rough day so even though the 1st visit wasn't good, I was willing to give it a 2nd try and hope things went differently. ESPECIALLY, since I don't have the opportunity often) OMG!! The 2nd time was worse than the 1st!!! The staff...RUDE!!, Bathroom....DISGUSTING!! Dining area...SMELLS!!...Did I mention how rude the staff was being?! The young lady at the register... Little Miss Nakia/Nakiyah ( I'm not sure of the spelling but her attitude was so terrible that it was two other customers discussing it. When I got that same nasty attitude, I kindly asked her name). She DID NOT want to work that day or something was wrong. After overhearing the other customers talk about her being rude, I decided to use a different approach. When it was my turn to order, I said, "Hello, HAPPY SUNDAY! How are you!?" She had a look on her face like her feet were hurting!!! and answered, 'What can I get you?' So I waited and replied, "How are you?" She said, 'Fine, what can I get you?' I started giving her my order and she cut me off and gave me a total. I continued telling her my order. Then she said, "Will that be all?" I said, "And a strawberry shake." She said, 'Strawberry Lemonade, right?" I said, "Just plain strawberry, please Ma'am. " (at this point, I decided to be as nice as possible and maybe she would pick up on it and do the same...yeah right). She said, "Either you get strawberry lemonade or strawberry banana, so which one you want!?" I said, "Oh okay, I'm sorry, I'll just have chocolate. Thank you" After that whole encounter, I asked her name. When my order was called and I retrieved my bag, I stood on the side, waiting for her to hand me the milkshake. After a while, I said, "Excuse me, Darling, is that my milkshake right there?" She looked at it and then handed it to me with the energy that you don't have when working with people. People back home are expecting me to stop by White Castle on my way home. Read moreFood is great, but the service has changed . On my last two visits my wait was longer and longer. One visit I was the only car at the drive thru, but by the time I finally got my food there was at least four cars that I could see waiting. The car directly behind me got tired of waiting pulled off and left. My most recent visit I went on the inside and was the only person in the restaurant but still had to wait more than three to four minutes before someone came to take my order. There was two workers behind the counter, one working the drive thru and one cooking something. Neither acknowledged me standing there waiting. I was tempted to walk out but what would that gain me, I was hungry. So I practiced patience , thinking well they look short handed. Finally the one that was making sandwiches took a deep breath pushed what she was working on to the side and came to the front counter and asked may I take your order. After my oder was placed, she went back to doing her thing. After about another five minutes another worker came from out of the the back and asked the girl working the window something then proceeded to fixing food. Something is out of sink here and really needs to be fixed. I really like white Castles breakfast sandwiches and this location because I love to eat sitting down on the river front. Read moreThe morning experiences have ruined this location for me. Afternoon is a good crew as far as I can tell, and don’t come around evening time so can’t say. Seems to be a bunch of old ladies running the morning shift, which you would think meant quality service and food. Not in this case. They’re rude and treat you like you’re ruining their day for helping them stay in business and receive a paycheck. Their excuse is their system is slow, so it takes over 20 minutes for a mobile order to process when I’ve been able to order one minute before and get food any other time. I don’t have unlimited funds, so paying for two sandwiches and only getting one is bullsh!t. They were laughing through the microphone instead of taking orders and swindling $2 out of customers when they can is ridiculous. I highly doubt there’s been any issues with mobile ordering that’s not caused by incompetent workers, unlike DoorDash where the workers need to be cautious about confirming orders.
