Hi All, please be aware about the scam that Macys is doing when you apply for the Macys credit card. There is a specific terms & condition point which allows Macys to automatically charge your credit card if you have been given discount on a product. You are charged even if you have not received the card and hence not used it for any other transactions. The amount of the discounted product is automatically charged and you are required to pay it and you are not informed of this in advance when u apply for this card.
The worst part is Macys customer care representatives are so inefficient that they could not even clarify this to me when i raised concern about the payment that I was expected to pay. Normally, you apply for a credit card and you pay for it when you do any transactions. Nothing is charged automatically. I wasnt aware of such a condition and I thought it to be a fraudulent transaction and was trying to seek clarity.
All I was being repeatedly said was that I did not pay for the product and no clarity was provided and no context. My account was reported as delinquent. And all this time when I was trying to understand the situation to verify if it was a legit transaction, I had raised a payment concern as well as a fraud dispute and over 100 calls with the customwr service agents.
Finally when I got the clarity of how the amount was charged, I paid full amount and asked for them to revoke the reported delinquency. I explained the whole scenario and it seemed like I was talking to a brainless robot since the service representstives keep repeating the same stuff over and over again.
I have never experienced such a horrific and pathetic customer experoence. They never think or care about the customer or try to understand the situation.
Be aware if you are applying for such credit cards. Neither you will have the time to go through each point in terms and conditions nor will they be...
Read moreThis is my experience at the Returns counter in the Stamford, CT store. The lady at the desk is the rudest person ever to be dealing with any customer. Couple of months ago, I saw her misbehaving and arguing with a customer when he was trying to return an item. At that time I didnt think any CS personnel would behave like this to anyone, rather they would go to the extent of understanding the problem. Then I got a first hand experience yesterday, she was aloof, not engaging and lecturing to the extent of ordering around. All I wanted was to return few items alongwith the tags, but she was venting at how the tag is not at the right place, it should be like this, it should be like that etc. And it was not once, every item she picked, she lectured me over and over and when I said, I know you mentioned it before, she flared and told me she will keep telling it. I really wonder if Macy's is really looking at how its customers are being treated, are they given benefit of the doubt, are they being pleasantly and politely addressed, are their needs considered - there's an intention to help and there's what you want me to do about it attitude - and sadly with this lady, its the later. Stamford store should really name this desk from "Customer Service" to "Customer Up...
Read moreWhoever is in charge of the infrastructure here, needs to visit the restrooms for a checkup. It's not even the cleanliness, or lack of it sometimes, it's how everything is falling apart (door hinges are broken in almost every stall), no hooks available to hang your coat, water taps not working... I mean, how much more need I mention? The security members are busier chatting with others, than routinely checking on the playground, where the no-food and no shoes policy is not really reenforced. Kids should not be allowed with lollipops either, imagine one falling in one of those chases or child's plays, and then you got yourself a bad injury and an even worse law suit. Not to mention that on a busy afternoon on a Sunday, that area turns inti absolute mayhem, where parents need to be on the floor with their young ones, to make sure their littles don't get stomped over by 10 year olds. And this leads to the whole playground turning into a stampede. Not a big fan of this Mall at all and only few stores have good employees that make you want to...
