This was my first time going to any Jollibee. I ordered the 3 piece Chickenjoy plus one side which I picked fries. I also ordered the Peach Mango Pie since I've been hearing so much about it, and got the Pineapple Quencher. I waited with my buzzer in this little area that seemed almost like a kids playpen until my food was ready. I only live 8 minutes away so I ordered it to go, and I'm glad I did because if there's one thing I didn't like about this place, it was the store itself. It seemed surprisingly small for the first Jollibee store in Michigan but maybe that's because it was busy for lunch. All of the tables were taken and there were also people waiting for their food. I got somewhat claustrophobic and will probably order drive-thru next time, but for some reason there were barriers around their drive-thru when I went (even though I later saw people picking up their orders in the drive-thru). Tip for management: If the drive-thru is functional, there's no reason to keep those barriers there. It's just confusing.
The service wasn't as quick as I expected for fast-food. The food was all seemingly prepared in the back and fresh chicken was coming out of the fryers, but my food was still hot when I got it so no complaints on quality. The Pineapple Quencher did not survive more than 5 minutes into my drive back. It was so good I drank it all pretty quickly and I wish I had ordered a larger size if available. When I got home I tried the chicken, also delicious. Coming right off the bone, perfect temperature, tasted great, and it wasn't as greasy as KFC. The fries were very crisp, almost reminding me of McDonald's fries but better because they are crispier. The Peach Mango pie was great of course, although with all the hype I've seen around it I'd argue maybe a little overrated, but great nonetheless and a must-get on your first trip here.
The total for everything came out to $18. I don't eat fast-food nearly as much as I used to, but that seemed a little expensive for what I got. With that said, the demand and food quality is certainly there so I get why they charge a premium. I'll be back...
Read moreMy husband and I drove from Canton Michigan to try your chicken for the first time. Needless to say we were not disappointed. We got a 12 piece and we had six pieces of spicy and six pieces of the regular. However I will say the spicy is spicy but it is good. The regular is delicious! We didn't get everything so we have not tried the spaghetti or the chicken sandwich or the burger We like to try some of the basics first which was the fried chicken in our opinion. The gravy came with it and the gravy was good as well We did dip the chicken in the gravy. We have tried fried chicken from a wide variety of places in the state of Michigan. Naming Popeyes, KFC, churches, Krispy crunchy, Dave's hot chicken, and many other places including some places from South Carolina. There's only one place in South Carolina which I can't remember if it was from Publix or from Harris Teeter, My husband and I ate chicken from South Carolina to Detroit their chicken was good but when it comes to jollibees fried chicken we need you in Canton Michigan so we don't have to drive so far Your chicken has topped everybody's chicken in the state of Michigan.! Please open a location in the Canton Michigan area! I'm not saying that we won't come back to Sterling heights We will! I just want to let you know that your chicken is off the chain 😋 as far as the service it was friendly and fast We came through the drive through very nice experience. The pineapple drink was very refreshing I think we were more focused on the chicken and the pineapple drink in the gravy then we wear the french fries We actually parked in the parking lot next to jollibee's to taste the chicken 😋😋😋😋 I like the adobo rice very good especially if you put a little gravy on it. My husband wasn't a fan of the rice but that's okay more for me 🤣 if people in my area don't drive to jollibees to try this chicken which they'll be losing out but that's okay more for me and my husband 🤣 🤣😋😋😋😋😋😋 HOWEVER AGAIN I REPEAT PLEASE PUT A JOLLIBEE IN CANTON ,MICHIGAN IN THE 48187 AREA IT WOULD BE...
Read moreI went to Jollibee today for their grand opening on January 12, 2024 for the first time ever, located on Hall rd between Schoenner and Hayes in Sterling Heights, I waited a long time for their food today, and honestly it blew me away, this place exceeded my expectations. I knew this place was good, but I didn’t know it was heavenly. 😂
I got the 2 piece chicken joy with adobo rice, a biscuit, gravy, and a pineapple refresher for $13, pineapple refresher was great, sweet and refreshing, while not being overly sweet at the same time, adobo rice was great as well, rice was cooked perfectly, seasoned well with garlic and various other spices, and with some chicken, biscuit tasted like the Popeyes biscuit, but not as dense and dry, while being crisp and buttery.
Now the chicken, I’m just going to come out and say it, easily some of the BEST fried chicken I ever had, it was cooked beautifully, super crispy and light on the outside, not breaded heavy, super moist and juicy on the inside, it was so juicy the chicken was dripping 🤣, it was seasoned perfectly, not too salty or extremely greasy, just some amazing simple fried chicken, and the gravy was good as well, peppery with some spice notes, with the chicken it takes it to a completely different level.
Is this place worth the hype and wait? Absolutely, if you can make chicken like that, you deserve all the bragging rights 😂 Ratings:
Chicken Joy 9.2/10
Pineapple refresher 8.2/10
Adobo Rice...
