This would have been my first time at the Ubreakifix on hall rd itās much closer to my house we usually drive out to the other location in Sterling Heights on Van Dyke Just called here, the hall rd location to schedule a replacement on an iPad 6th generation, the āmanagerā refused to let me schedule a screen replacement in advance so we didnāt have to go an entire day without the iPad. He told me no matter what for a screen replacement itās a 24-48 hour window. The reason why we canāt wait 24-48 hours on a repair is because itās my sons speech device and he uses it to speak imagine going 24-48 hours with no voice or no method of communication. I explained this to him thinking he would have empathy and maybe find a spot in his schedule to get it done and I explained even if we schedule the repair days or weeks in advance where they can commit to getting it done in one day he still refused and said thereās nothing he can do that it has to be 24-48 hours for the repair. I just hung up on him because clearly customers with disabilities weighs no barrings on this location. Then I called the Van Dyke location and explained why we need it done in one day. The gentlemen I talked to said no problem it can be done as long as I bring it in early tomorrow morning. So Iāll be leaving a 5 star review on the Van...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI know every experience is different, but mine was overall positive. The staff was nice and helpful. I feel like quality work was done and I'm confident my new phone screen will work as well as the original screen did before it was cracked.
The one lost star was because I had to call to find out the phone was done. I brought it in a couple of hours before close and they said it might be ready same day, but if not it would be ready next day and they would call me - fine. Problem is that I did not get a call the next day and I did not get my phone that day. I had to call the day after that myself to find out the phone was done, and that was fairly close to close of business, which tells me they probably would not have called that day either. Is this a huge deal? Maybe not if you have a spare phone to use until the device is finished. If the phone is your lifeline and you have no backup, this is not great at all, and either more training is needed, or more care should be given.
One last thing... If I am getting a screen replaced, I ask if the replacement is original equipment from the manufacturer or aftermarket from a 3rd party. It's generally not an issue, but if you have the option to get the original equipment, and not an aftermarket, ask for original...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDropped off an IPhone to have the screen redone. I asked for the $180 screen between the 3 options. Also requested for screen protector to be added on. My husband picked up the phone they put the $100 dollar screen on & no screen protector. Phone still doesn't work. Took the phone back & had the screen fixed again. Asked for screen protector still didn't put one on till I said something. Then tells me they can't work on this phone anymore because the 1st time I brought it in it had water damaged which no one told me about. I wouldn't of replaced the screen if I knew that. They put the $100 screen on without asking when I told them I wanted the $180 screen. So now with another screen the one still isn't working properly. If there was damage to the phone prior they should of said something from the get go. Also if your going to change the order that should of been asked with the customer as well. Horrible customer service each person says...
