As someone in the lower strata of wealth (aren't we all these days), this review is heavily biased, as this was simply the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at in 27 years of life. If you book a stay for 7 or more days using their website online, a discount is automaticlly applied, which was awesome.
The hotel is in a great location off Hall, central to nearly anything and everything you'll need or want in the area. You can walk over for lunch and breakfast and the nearby diner, and some local fare offers discounts to hotel guests.
The venue was pleasant and clean. The size of the hotel made access and traversal very convenient.
Check-in was easy and simple, the staff friendly and providing a good overview of amenities and details for a longer stay. If you have a shorter stay, you may want to prompt them for the full run down.
The room was perfect and clean. I had zero worries about any nastiness, and as a germaphobe I am nearly always uncomftorable worrying about where I'm staying, but not here. I would honestly say that the room was spotless. The cleaning staff is clearly top notch.
The kitchenette was well stocked with anything you could need to cook a small dish. The fixtures were in great condition and provided good utility. A full size fridge is an amazing amenity to a hotel stay, it was NOT slept on.
My only complaint about the room at all was how weak the stovetop was. It is very small with 2 electric burners. I brought an extra pan to discover that you cannot fit 2 8in pans on it. It looked like 6in would be pushing it too. On top of that, the burners themselves were simply not so strong, it took us waay too long to cook some bacon fully. We bought chicken and had to toss it, as I did not trust the burners to cook it fully.
Amenity wise, there is a gym, free laundry, a convenience shop, and a pool (more I'm sure).
The laundry machines worked fantastically. A laundry basket was provided, which was awesome. Detergent is cheap.
The pool and the gym looked inviting and clean, I saw others partake and enjoy themselves through my stay but I did not myself.
The staff were wonderful. There was always someone around and they had no issues refilling us on toiletries and towels. They allowed me to use the conference room for a small social gathering for my birthday celebration. They were extremely accomodating to us during the gathering jumping through some hoops to make us comftorable.
The daytime desk supervisor who's name I never got was very kind and welcoming. I had planned on giving him a tip at the end of our last night (a Saturday), but we had just missed him leaving for the night. If any of management sees this, please give that man a raise!
Check out was as easy as check in. We ran behind a little late on laundry, and the concierge at the front allowed us to stay an extra hour to finish up despite it being a Sunday.
Amazing hotel...
Read moreI stayed there this weekend, I was in town for my mom’s funeral. I was billed an extra $100 security deposit, which is fine. I only booked there cause it is a pet friendly hotel. An hour after leaving I realized I was billed an extra $100 I called and spoke with Anthony who said the housekeeping informed him the bed was dirty and dog had urinated on comforter. First of all my dog is 4lbs it’s a comforter, which should be washed after every visit. He argued with me and said it was damaged. It was not damaged it was dirty, in addition I said even if that was the case you had no right to charge me an Additional 100 when you still have my deposit. I was gone for several hours sat for my mom’s funeral. I called this morning to speak with Ryan the GM thinking he would make this right. What hotel charges you for dirty bedding not the mattress the bedding. He refused to refund me stating it was damaged I said so if a person wets the bed you charge them he said yes. I asked why they charged my card additional 100 when they still have my deposit. What’s the point of deposit, I was there for a funeral pretty costly already but now this hotel has an additional 200 of my money cause bedding was dirty. Took my dog outside to the dog area, there were beer bottle caps everywhere and cigarette butts everywhere it was disgusting. I had to pick up the beer bottle caps several of them and cigarette butts so my dog didn’t eat them and get hurt. This clearly is no dog friendly hotel and I will be contacting the corporate office. Ryan also said he would send me an email of pics of damage and my bill which he hasn’t done. Way to many better hotels in the area I wouldn’t recommend this one. I have a large family that all live in this area and let me entire family hotel charged me for dirty bedding they will never stay there or recommend to...
