Firehouse Subs Hall/Hayes — Restaurant in Sterling Heights

I made an online pickup order for the first time at this location on August 24th, 2024 (15064 Hall Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan).

Sub - Pastrami - Medium - 9.99 Five Cheese Mac & Cheese - 4.79 Sub - Pastrami - Medium - 9.99 Chicken and Dumpling Soup - Bowl - 4.79

The aggregate totaling 29.56, and with the addition of an applicable state tax of 1.78, I paid 31.34.

When I arrived on location and announced my presence, the cashier handed me a large bag of food with my name on it. I thanked him heartily and began my journey home.

Upon arriving back to my abode, two of my pre-paid items were missing from the bag - the (Five Cheese Mac & Cheese) and the (Chicken and Dumpling Soup - Bowl).

I immediately called the location and spoke with an employee who remembered me and acknowledged, without an apology, that he in fact did NOT give me the aforementioned items with the rest of my order.

He explained that I could come and pick up my missing items or use the website to have my credit card refunded. I was already at home, hungry, frustrated, and did not want the rest of our food to get cold as my wife and I were about to sit for a movie. Another round-trip to the location would have further delayed our evening by half an hour at least. For these reasons, I opted for the refund.

I logged on the website and filed a claim for credit on the missing items. Subsequently, in lieu of refunding my credit card, I received an email informing me that the store owner would contact me to resolve the issue. It has been two weeks and I have yet to be contacted,

Firehouse Subs are excellent. There was a lady at this location, that would not participate in any promotions and also refused to give me my free birthday sub, which you are supposed to get as part of Firehouse rewards, but hopefully this lady is gone. Today I went there and had no problems and my subs were excellent and she was not there. $6.99 for a medium italian sub is a great deal and I really like their Cajun Chicken, which you can't get anywhere else. I just hope that rotten lady is no longer there. I remember seeing her berate the other employees and it made me so sad. If I find out she is gone, I may be able to change my score to 5 stars. I will have to see next time I try to get a free birthday sub or use points for a free sub or if there is another T Mobile promotion with Firehouse subs. Unfortunately, it looks like the Firehouse Subs at 16 & Van Dyke in Sterling Heights, MI has closed. The manager lady in there is so rude to customers and employees! She wanted to argue with us on the size of our free large beverage we got as a reward for using the app for the first time! Didnt wanna hear it when we said it applied within the app and then was trying to say we only get a medium! Only said to us that it doesn't apply when you do it in app. Very argumentative and very rude! And she was talking to the wonderful employee at the register like he was a baby. "Make sure we aren't passing out free cups" in a snotty tone of voice,, lady, that's exactly what we get! A free large cup. She really needs an attitude adjustment. Very rude and very unprofessional.
