I haven't eaten at Panda expresses in the past in several cities and never had any problem customer service. However I'm staying at Marriott in Michigan by the lakeside Mall and ordered food from the Panda Express nearby. I cannot believe the small portions of food that were delivered. I ordered three full size portions and got half portions. Not only that but the sauce is were not delivered. And the food was cold! When I called the restaurant the manager was very rude to me he told me that they weigh out their food and if he knows that it's right the beef broccoli had no beef in it at all you could barely see it! But after I stated several times that there was no beef in there he openly admitted that they have a problem with with the beef broccoli and that there's not enough! He said he wanted to make it right and that he'd send over another after asking me several times to pick it up myself to which I declined.however he didn't bring it to the room he left it at the front desk without letting me know. Didn't give them a name or a room number so they didn't know who to tell that it was there. And told the desk clerk if they don't show up for it you can eat it! What kind of customer service is that? I believe that they were taken advantage of a traveler someone who's not from the area and they thought they'd never see again. Well I have a lot of friends and family that live in this area and believe me they're going to know about this. If I'd gone into the restaurant I know I wouldn't have been treated this way.to top it off when I got the extra food that was sent there was very little beef in it again and the box was open in the bag. Read moreA long tine ago I had a horrible review for this location and recently deleted it thinking they deserve a second chance but I've been back and I'm still disappointed.
I ordered a plate and payed extra for shrimp. I popped my box open while in the car and the order looked pretty light. I called yhe store and explain I had maybe 4 shrimp and that seems a bit small so could I pick up another order. To which the young lady responds appropriately and offers to put me down for another order. I hear a male voice in the background arguing and the girl comes back and says the guy who made your food insists her made your order right. It's supposed to be 7 shrimp and he says the other shrimp are under the chicken so just check there. I explained that I was actually still driving but I open the box while at a red light. The guy continued going on and on in the back (over 7 shrimp that he didn't pay for. I offered to send a picture. At this point ive payed more personal funds for the shrimp than he has) so I told her I really don't want to argue about shrimp and I'll just wait until I get to my destination and ridiculously count my shrimp. Then call back. Turns out I really didnt get my 1.2.3.4.5 6. SEVEN shrimp. So I called back and there was no answer. I don't have time for this. I find it REALLY hard to believe you guys count your shrimp per order size during a rush and get it right all the time.. but if you think Im desperate enough to do all of this for a funky little side of shimp then let this long azz review be proof to you that I wasnt lying. Read moreOrdered through Doordash and usually all is well but this last time the food was way over spiced, I mean to the point I had to get the milk out to calm the burn. It was 8 at night and we had no other money to get something else delivered.
The lo mein noodles were non-existent in the vegetables but that didn't really matter because our entrees were spiced so horribly.
I want to think it was a mistake that no one was aware of; the food was practically inedible.
I've reached out to Doordash and I left a message for the restaurant that their food was of poor quality. I haven't heard anything about trying to make this right at all.
UPDATE 9/27/20: I reached out to Panda Express corporate and I was told they were sending gift cards to replace the cost of the meal. I haven't seen anything yet.
9/18/21!!!! UPDATE: SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN TONIGHT WHEN MY FIANCE ORDERED! ORANGE CHICKEN WAS EXTREMELY SPICY AND INEDIBLE!!!! We've ordered all year, he's picked it up - NO PROBLEMS. Delivery? OVERSPICED ORANGE CHICKEN. It was so spicy, he thought it was Kung Pao but I've had that before and it's different from orange. Disappointed.
