I placed an order online and the lady that answered the phone seemed like she wasn’t familiar with the menu - it took us a while to place the order when I read the items right off the menu. The total for 2 chilaquiles, 1 order of French toast, and two coffees was $65. The French toast alone was $14 - which I thought was ridiculous after I saw them, it was 4 flimsy pieces of toast about 5 pieces of strawberries and condensed milk. The menu advertised this item and “fruit French toast” and the picture showed a variety of fruits but again, it was strawberries only. For one order of chilaquiles I asked for the eggs to be over hard and they gave me over easy - needless to say my breakfast was ruined. As for the coffee - I tried the cajeta latte and I was very excited when they said they had dairy free milk, however the latte was tasteless, it felt like I was drinking water. The cafe de hoya was also very tasteless. Very dissatisfied overall with the food, price, and services. We were also very excited to try this place and had high hopes for it since it’s one of the few breakfast places around our neighborhood. Save your money - do not eat here, you will be disappointed and...
Read moreDulce Mami Cafe in Burbank offers a decent but unremarkable experience. The cafe has a cozy, casual vibe, perfect for a quick coffee or casual bite. Their menu features a mix of traditional Latin American pastries, coffee drinks, and light breakfast items, but while the offerings sound promising, the execution can be hit-or-miss.
The pastries, such as the conchas and empanadas, are often fresh, though not always as flavorful or flaky as you’d hope. Coffee drinks are decent but not particularly memorable—neither strong nor delicate, just middle-of-the-road in terms of flavor. Service is friendly but can be a bit slow during busy times, and the space, while cute, can feel cramped and lacks a bit of ambiance compared to other cafes in the area.
Overall, Dulce Mami Cafe is fine for a quick stop if you’re in the neighborhood, but it doesn’t stand out in terms of quality or experience. It’s a nice enough place for a casual snack or coffee, but it may not be worth going out of your way for, the potatoes were...
Read moreI love their many locations they have to offer. I am aware this one just recently open here in Burbank IL. I love the food and everything they have to offer. One thing I did notice, I never have had an issue with them until I notice that when the owner is in the location the service and food comes out fantastic and on time. The one time me and my family decided to stop by the owner was not there we notice the huge difference. The food took very long. Most of the staff was on their phones. And when the food got us, it was not what me and my family expected from them. It was cold. The lack of attention was not there. Short story, it was a bad experience. The owner needs to keep a close eye and not trust her employees. Those people are the same ones that will be the first to burn...
