I ordered a turnout sheet that was marketed as waterproof to keep the horse warm and dry. The first time we used it in a persistent drizzle, it was soaked through and the horse was very wet. I contacted Big Dee's and was told the turnout sheet I ordered wasn't adequate to be used in the rain, even a light rain. I mentioned the reason I ordered it was because it was marketed as being waterproof and they had nothing to say. They did offer me 10% off if I'd like to order something else.
I went ahead and left a review of the turnout sheet so others would be aware that it's not suitable to be out in the rain. My review was an honest review of the product and also mentioned that customer service was helpful in explaining the limitation of the product. Before posting the review, I saw mention that Big Dee's may not publish all reviews. They chose to not publish mine, which I find to be a shady practice to keep review scores high and increase sales.

HEREāS THE WORST PART: unlike other quality stores (SmartPak, Dover, Schneiderās) Big Dees will not pay return shipping for items that donāt fit. A trip to the post office today revealed a $50 cost to send the ill-fitting boots back. So unless youāre 100% sure that any item purchased at Big Dees will fit, I recommend you go elsewhere. Also bear in mind that they āreserve the rightā to decline to post any review on their site. So you can probably assume that negative reviews on products arenāt being posted, thereby skewing the actual customer satisfaction with any given product.
Super disappointed. Ordered winter boots and they are far too narrow. Called to request an exchange and they "have no more" wide calf boots. They won't pay the return shipping. "Customer service" person was flippant and uncaring. I've done a bit of business with Big Dee's before. This will be my last...
