Let's call it what it TRULY is...
Today I met in the face both Economic Oppression and Social Segregation within no other than this Banner's Hallmark store, and have just started a Class Action Suit with my attorney.
Trying to keep this as short as possible, I have been a long time (since 2009) customer primarily mostly with this location, but Hallmark in general spending over $1000.00 or more per year. What that gets me is the so called badge of "Platinum" and then treated like garbage, that is until I do it all over again the next year, especially at this Suffolk, VA. Banner's location.
So as we all may or may not know, Hallmark has a "Good ol' Boy Club" that now costs $59.00 per year. Apparently, Hallmark thinks this gives them the right of the business practice of Economic Oppression against many families and customers, because if you're not in this "Economic Social Club", apparently you can not buy items, or sometimes certain "Limited" items until the day after the "event" starts.
As we dropped off our wish list to Hallmark last night at this location, we were told to come back today anytime after they open at 9am and we could purchase said "Limited Edition" "first come first serve" items. Well... As instructed by the Hallmark employee, I went in, but was disallowed to buy said items because even though I spend $1000.00 or more per year, I am not paying to be in the "Stroke me Club", the day after I was told we could come in the next day.
Now many or most families most likely can NOT afford to pay this Unfair fee that it is cut and dry Business Economic Oppression, and 100% wrong to even offer such a thing, that clearly doesn't give the favorable opportunity to buy many items unless they are in the above mentioned "CLUB"!
My personal suggestion and wish is for EVERYONE to not only BOYCOTT this particular location, but to share this info, even on social media, continually call and EXPRESS your concerns with this location and corporate alike, and keep an eye out for the upcoming Class-Action if you have also been affected, it will be in the works within a matter of days!!!
Aside from that, the staff is and has mostly been extremely shallow / rude throughout the years, often mixes up orders in the past years and does NOT value or care for it's customers, only the money is can pry from its "VISITOR'S" pockets while giving a fake...

I got home and the battery cover (it plays music) was missing. Took it back to the store and there were out of stock. I asked would it be possible to purchase the floor model. I was cut-off mid-sentence and the lady grabbed the ornament and told me "No." So, I asked for a refund. They make you fill out paperwork like it's 1960 for a refund. Not to mention, I was standing in line for 5 minutes to check out when a group of ladies walks up and they were tended to first. I ordered the ornament to have it shipped to the store. My wife went to pick it up and the other workers didn't know anything about it even though they called me to tell me...
Read moreI was there yestetday when a man came in with a cart grom Pet Smart with his Children in the cart. The lady working was very loud telling him they couldn't allow him to walk around with that because of all the breakable stuff and actually said, no this isnt going to happen. I was horrified for that man. I would think he put the kids in the cart so they wouldn't be running around the store breaking andvtouching anything. Do you allow strollers in the store?
