Michael was amazing!
My wife and I came in to buy her a new Nintendo Switch and we were blown away by the service!
He gave excellent advice, his coworker was also very helpful as well!
I cannot give Michael enough praise because I had NO IDEA that GameStop still had GameInformer. I gave him my phone number and mentioned I hate the GameStop subscription since they got rid of GameInformer (I was cancelled since 2010 due to that) - he told us that game informer is still a thing and handed us a fresh copy!
He went above and beyond to recommend things to us! Loved his personality and everything about the experience. I picked up KOTOR 2 for my new switch. Michael and I both raved over how great of a game it used to be!
We ended up purchasing several other items at the time as well, and both the employees were so helpful!
We recently moved to Sumter, but the kindness and the genuine care from Michael and his coworker was so refreshing! I cannot give them a better review. They both rock!

Read moreI've been a customer with Gamestop for over 15 years also a pro member and have spent 10s of thousands on merchandise over the years. That all ended today over the big shot manager Tim who wouldn't take a return with receipt, and tags in place. The item was brand new and he insisted I was past the return date. Corporate however disagreed and said I was within the time. He then proceeds to tell Corporate management the product was damaged "A spot on the plush" which was a complete lie. He was just salty I called Corporate. Plain and simple the dude is on a power trip and will end up losing his position very soon. This was only the 2nd time I've returned an item in all my time doing business with them and even intended on using that money and more money to buy even more merchandise. You guys lost a lifelong customer all over a bad boss it's a shame. Don't shop this Gamestop if you can help it. I've never in my life been in a position like this over literally nothing a stupid pokemon...
Read moreIn the time I've been living in Sumter, this store never ceases to keep me away for long. Not just for the nice selection and walk-in deals, but for the friendly staff who have been very helpful no matter the event.
Every time I came here with a question or issue, the attentive staff showed empathy and kindness when helping me understand and resolve concerns (even after finding out that some of the mistakes were mine 🤣).
I've gotten good response speeds anytime I've called out of busy times, but busy with that store can change like the weather. If they don't pick up the first few rings, I normally wait a bit before I call back.
I'm thankful for this store being here, it's helped me walk away from online gaming orders and be a bit more social. Even if it's just to talk about games and think less of outside stress, that's what going to a store like this used to be...
