The people at this store are great, they have helped me out when I needed to set up or when I was moving. I mainly have a problem with the company itself. I first bought spectrum when I was in TX on base, it worked fine for what we needed. After moving to SC I have seen MANY service outages. Very inconsistent service at my apartment complex to the point where I couldn’t even watch Netflix or Yt and had to upgrade to the 500mb service which was about $78 a month with equipment. Expensive as ever. After moving into a house I took the same equipment with me and I had to have spectrum run a line in my new house for our internet. I asked if it would cost me anything and they said no. However, my bill jumped to $89 a month and instead of making me pay for the people to run my line they are making me pay for “self install” so my next bill is $115. this is ridiculous. I did not have to pay for self install in my apartment and I have no clue why my bill jumped as I was already paying for the same service and equipment. After calling spectrum and asking them why this was happening they gave me no answer and no help. After telling them I was going to switch they did not even offer to go back to my old rate. I’m switching to ATC instead, they offered 1 Gb of service...
Read moreSpeaking of a store experience specifically. I had to have a tech come out yesterday due to connectivity issues with my router. I asked if he could take the old one back & he said no, because he can't give a receipt, but to visit the store on Sunday (today) because it's less busy (I mentioned the usual long store waits, so wasn't looking forward to it). When I got there, I had to sign in just to turn in a router which I found to be silly. So there I sat waiting, only 2 people working. It was my turn & I said I only needed to drop off a router & she requested my ID. Mind you, this is after i told her my government name, full address, & phone number. Why would I need an ID to drop off old equipment? Is it illegal for other people to drop off said equipment? I wasn't picking anything up nor making changes to the account. I had to go back to my car where sat my teenage son & crying baby who were both trying to patiently wait for me to finish this adventure at Spectrum. The rep was nice so this isn't about her. I gave two stars because the store looked nice & clean. Spectrum charges too much considering all the...
Read moreI have recently moved into a new house. So I decided to go with Spectrum for internet service. Wendy and Jennifer were very professional greeting, communicating, and clarifying the steps for starting the internet services. My first representative was Wendy who mentioned to me about adding a phone plan in addition to the home internet. Spectrum price was far more affordable compared to what I was paying Verizon for $130 a month. I went ahead and paid off my phone to break off from my Verizon contract to move over to Spectrum. A week later, I arrived at the store late in the evening. I signed in and Jennifer called me in. I could see it had been a long day for her. Jennifer still warmly greeted me and she remained professional activating the phone, going over the phone plan, and the promotion she was putting me under. Now with the new phone plan and the internet service combined cost me LESS than my previous phone bill. I would like to pass on special Thank You to Wendy and Jennifer for genuinely caring customer service to make sure new customers' needs are met by communicating...
