Bonita's Boutique — Local services in Sunrise

Stumbled upon this location following dinner with my husband so I decided to stop in and take a look.

The woman at the front desk looks at me when I walked in and immediately turns her head in the opposite direction. As a retail vet I know the importance of greeting customers so I thought this was very odd. So I walked up to the counter and said "Hello, how are you to the clerk." She turned her head again to act as though she didn't hear or see me, so I said it again.

She then said, "Hi," in a dull voice and looked away.

It was then that I realized I was experiencing a bit of discrimination as a person of African American decent as this clerk was making it very clear that I was not welcome there, nor did she have any intention to help me.

So, I immediately turned around and left because I'm not going to spend time or money somewhere I'm not welcome or treated with respect.

The store is amazing. I’ve had identity issues my whole life and I’ve never IN MY LIFE have found clothes that speak to me. I started crying when I walked through the store, everything I saw was something I thought were only in my dreams .Literally in a state of shock. It sounds ridiculous but the clothes motivated me to want to do better in life, work harder and be able to afford it at least 10 of the dresses/accessories they have. Owner is very rude . I mean nasty rude she obviously don’t have knowledge of what costumer service means , I come to her from NY and buy shoes, I was happy with the shoes not her clothes becase the clothes is not a good quality for her prices . I got a pair of platforms and the second time I wore them the strap broke , I brought them back to her today and I wasn’t asking for the money back I just wanted an exchange or a fix but she was so rude she literally sent me to hell.
