Booked a birthday party and it was a terrible experience beginning to end all due to the incredibly low quality staff.
We were the first ones in the building when they opened and our "reserved" table was completely trashed with spilled soda all over the benches and gum, trash, and food under the tables all over the floor. To no surprise the employees/ manager could care less and didn't bother to clean it for us even after we complained about the mess. It was not just our table the entire place was disgusting. Other customers complained about the bathrooms. Did not see an employee wipe down or clean ANYTHING in the 2 1/2 hours we were there. Pointed out our table specifically because you would think at least the reserved tables would be clean...
When the kids were at the ticket stand to collect their prizes the staff member thought it was a good idea to loudly talk about how annoying kids were and how much he didn't like them... with all of our kids standing there listening. Constantly rolling his eyes at the kids when they couldn't make up their mind fast enough and just an overall I hate my job attitude.
The managers excuse was that this isn't her store and she is just filling in.... apparently when you fill in for someone else all your knowledge about your job and customer service go right out the window..
If you want your children insulted to their face and a staff that couldn't care less about the customers they are supposed to be serving then this is the place for you!
Update! The area manager got back to us and resolved the situation so I modified the 1 star to a 3. I believe that this was an uncommon experience based on how much the area manager cared and how adamant they were about resolving it to our satisfaction. Thank you for a quick response with a...
Read moreMy wife and I have been going to this Peter Piper for a few years now and sadly I have to say it’s only gotten worse. That’s not to say it was ever good. We always get carry out from Peter Piper, call ahead pick up that sort of thing, and no matter what day of the week it is they always put us on hold. Perfect example is today’s experience. It’s Friday so I expected to be put on hold (again) but I factored that in as I live about fifteen minutes away. What I did not factor in, however, was being on hold for ten minutes. Still, you know what it’s friday so I figure hey they’re busy. So I get there and guess what, there’s almost nobody in the store. Again, I took a breath. Having worked in customer service for several years and in food service for even longer, I realize employees are generally kids who just need a job and don’t give much thought to what they’re doing. However, where I really lost my patience was in this last little part. I walked in with my wife and stood at the takeout register where the manager was working. We waited a few minutes and she didn’t even have the decency to look up once. When she did deign to acknowledge our presence it was with a simple “Did you place a carry out order?” This will be a huge inconvenience as this particular Peter Piper is close to my house compared to the others in my area, but I can’t really see going back there...
Read moreI presented a Groupon voucher at the front counter. The employee was able to add the offer to the register but when trying to scan the Groupon it would not work. She asked a coworker for help and she couldn’t get it to work either. They brought a manager over who tried it as well and said my Groupon was expired and I couldn’t use it. I showed her the date which reflected 3/17/25 as the expiration date and explained I was actually there to use it before it expired. She told me it was invalid and I would have to contact Groupon. I asked how it was invalid and she said that scanning the barcode didn’t zero out the total on their screen. I explained that I was here with my two kids and brought a friend and their two kids and we were planning to buy more game cards and drinks etc. I asked if she could honor/comp the deal since they could pull that on the register and that I could mark the voucher as used on my phone. She refused and said it wasn’t her problem. That I needed to contact Groupon.
Because of the managers attitude and refusal to help we ended up taking our four kids and leaving. Now I’m stuck with a Groupon I paid $50 for that can’t be used. It’s super frustrating and annoying to haul 4 kids to Peter piper only to have the offer declined and no help from management on the issue. We would rather take the disappointed kids somewhere with better service...
