I was told by a few coworkers that thos store had a huge selection of nursing uniforms but when I arrived there to look they didn't have a good selection at all many of the tops and bottoms had frayed seams that with a gentle tug of each thread I began to unravel leaving holes in the seams of pockets, the bottom of the top and within the waistband of the pants into the inseam down the inside of the legs and the hemline down around the ankles. Not only were the close in an unkempt way, the store was in a huge disarray of extreme chaos that was filthy. Clothing covered the floors around the display racks, the floors were in a desperate need of a throughly great sweep followed by the sheer call out to be mopped in every knock and cranny. The bathroom stalls were littered with used female hygiene products and the floors in need of being mopped and cleaned to get rid of the smell of urine that had been wafting out into the rest of the store just as the men's room was not to far behind the woman's room. One of the cashier's was speaking in a loud volume that I couldn't ignore as a moved my way through the front end of the store away from the restrooms. This cashier was making it very important that she was voicing hee very rude and inappropriate issues with her customer. And to my understanding there wasn't a supervisor that was smoothing out the demeanor of the cashier as she continued in a raised voice that she was unable to return the top that had a few holes in the seam of the top. That no exchanges could be made with out a current recipient and the approval of the manager on duty and the customer was told that there wasn't a supervisor who was working then bc she called off and wasn't replaced with a supervisor to oversee the cashiers and prevent inappropriate behavior or confrontations to occur with the customer service and the people who came to the store expecting a good experience but instead were told that they weren't allowed to make an exchange and just find a way to be happy about that. I couldn't believe what I just witnessed and walked out to my car and reported them had to the better business bueara of investigation. What evee you do I highly recommend that one never steps foot into this retail store unless you prefer to be poorly treated by unruly customer service representative and will tear you a new...
Read moreI used to go to a Gabriel Brother's a loooooong time ago when I was in high school because it was "cool" to buy things for dirt cheap and tell classmates they were idiots for shopping at the Gap and American Eagle and paying 3 times what I was paying at GB. I recently went to Gabe's in Harrisburg and it's pretty much the same thing. I bought a dress shirt for 9 bucks! Nine dollars!! I also bought a pair of jeans for 7 bucks. Both of these were name brand, high end labels. I know sometimes they put the tag on with the MSRP and I often wonder if that is really the MSRP, but I can say first hand that I have seen these two items in stores and that MSRP is spot on. The shirt was originally $90 and the jeans were $70. So I basically paid 10% for my purchases. Seriously, why wouldn't you shop here? Where else do you get 90% off your purchases?
Now, if you have been inside a Gabe's you know that you have to spend some time in there. I actually went in with the intention of finding a pair of cargo pants, which I couldn't find in my size. Things on the rack aren't in the right spot most of the time (i.e. I found several pants in the "32" section that were 38, 36, 40, and so on). However, if you have some time and patience, you can score big time! This would be why I am only giving 4 stars instead of 5. Prices are the best around and I will probably go back to get more of the style shirt I have already purchased. At 9 bucks, I should have picked up about...
Read moreThe old lady in the back controlling the fitting room area is extremely disrespectful (5/31/25 at 9:00pm). Insane they even hired someone like this with such an attitude problem but hey, not my issue to decide this things. Will not be shopping here again. Originally the first time I came back the fitting rooms were not labeled so I headed torwards the one I saw and she very rude goes “where do you think your going?” I responded “to the fitting room” and she goes “no you’re not, go over there”. I was not to know this and it was an honest mistake, could have been nicer. The jeans did not fit so I went to get a bigger pair and when I went back this time she was sitting and as I walked by she goes “wow! Don’t scare me like that. God!” And rolls her eyes. Insanity but hey, their loss not mine I got my Jean size and will be going elsewhere after this for more jeans. Worse part is, the size of the store is great I would’ve loved to...
