We purchased gold/pearl earrings for my daughter 12/8/23 and purchased the replacement plan. We were told at the time and a month or two back that we DID NOT need our paperwork to exercise the replacement plan. They could look up our purchase in their system. We are at the Banter store in Kenwood Mall in Cincinnati right now. We are NOW told that we need to receipt as the policy has changed. This policy was changed after our purchase and after we were told that we would only need the earrings and info to look up our purchase. The employee was able to look up our purchase of the earrings and the replacement plan on 12/8/23 but was not able to honor our replacement plan purchase because of this policy change that was retroactively made applicable for customers that were told otherwise. Through no fault of our own our replacement plan is not being honored and we are being told that we will have to get the paperwork and make another trip back to the mall.
This is clearly awful customer service and the policy puts your employees in a bad scenario with customers cause apparently they are not given the authority to override a bad...
