Crate & Barrel — Local services in Sycamore Township

Our experience with the Cincinnati store (Kenwood) was very poor. We ordered 4 chairs and were told they would arrive Wednesday, 6/27. When we called them on the 27th to see if it had arrived they told us there was some issue and it would arrive 10 days later on Saturday, July 7. When we called them on July 7 we were told there was another reason why the chairs didn't make the shipment and they would arrive on Wednesday, July 11. We called several times on Wednesday and amazingly they couldn't tell me if it was on the truck that it took 8 hours to unload (it must be an incredibly large truck to take all day to unload; and their shipping system must be incredibly poor not to know if an item is actually on the truck). Finally, they confirmed the next day (July 12) that the chairs had indeed been on the truck.

I can understand that shipments don't always go as planned, but every time we called the were very put out. They were never proactive in calling us to let us know that there were issues and the shipment would be delayed.

We love the chairs but after the experience with the Kenwood store we decided to order two additional chairs online and pay an extra $60 to have them delivered directly to our home so we wouldn't have to work with their Kenwood sales...

What an awesome experience! My husband and I have been searching high and low for a perfect couch. We are talking a few years in the making… anyways, our friend told us about her Crate and Barrel couch experience and so we thought we’d give it a shot. We went two days in a row and wow! Both days were amazing. The first day we had Eileen. She was fantastic! She gave us a great lay of the land and discussed each couch with great knowledge. She never once seemed frustrated with our indecisiveness! We narrowed in on one and she gave us great tips on material options as well as feet options. She gave us a quote, told us to think on it and call her with any questions. Then today we had Lauren who also works as a designer upstairs! She was incredibly helpful. My husband and I were on the fence of a few options regarding the couch we created the day prior and Lauren had great ideas. She had a vision of what the space could be for us without ever stepping foot in it! She was great. We ended up buying our creation with the help and guidance she provided. All in all we had the most amazing couch buying experience. I’m sure this could sound silly to a few folks, but custom couches aren’t cheap and it’s nice to have help that is gracious as well as knowledgeable!...
