Amazing experience, we can't wait for our next visit! We won a complimentary dinner for 6 through their social media page, and since we had never been we didn't know what to expect. Our server was amazingly attentive even when it became busier, as was who I assume was the manager. We were a introverted party of 4 adults and 2 younger kids and we loved every second. While the layout and noise level were a little anxiety inducing for us (especially since the food is being walked around) but we quickly adapted and the workers all seem very well trained about where to walk and avoiding any collisions. Everything tasted amazing, and we tried plenty of new things, though we can't wait to experience the very extensive drink menu next time. Our server was very helpful with explaining for our first visit. One member of our party previously visited Boi Na Braza in Downtown Cincinnati almost 15 years ago and has been raving about Brazilian Steakhouses ever since - well this blew that experience straight out of the water. Amazing all around. The only downsides (and downside is really a stretch because I know any of the staff would have been happy to help us out) is that it can be hard to hear/remember what the servers are bringing around. And it comes out so quickly you may not have time to eat a bite before there are 2 or 3 others offering more. But we left absolutely full and in good spirits. The salad bar area was really tasty with a variety of things to try. We were asked several times by different staff if we wanted something specific sent our direction and the servers always made sure you got the doneness you expected on the beef coming around which was awesome. If you aren't a huge fan of beef, make sure your sever knows because that is definitely the main thing that comes around often. I'm sure they'd make sure the other meats came around more often. The slice of cake was huge. The layout was a little tricky with a toddler and might not be easy seating if you are a wider person but once again speak with your server, they all seemed very helpful overall when we overhead staff speaking with other tables. We weren't sure if we could visit the salad bar again once the meat began coming around the table but honestly we were too full to even consider heading up for a second trip. Very 'fancy' family friendly restaurant for the kenwood mall area, but don't stress about any heavy dress code because we saw all kinds enjoying themselves in there. It's definitely a recommended experience and worth the hour drive we took to visit from our rural town. We didn't get many photos but I think the empty plate is probably the most important one đ I hope the staff is very proud of themselves the place was beautiful, clean, very well managed, and we were treated better...
Read moreWent to restaurant for a birthday dinner (10 total people) on 12.7.
Started off poorly when server dropped a tray of 10 drinks (waters, iced teas, lemonades, Cokes) on 1 guest (A) and on another guestâs coat and inside their purse (B). 1 manager came over to offer moving wet items and clean up broken glass. Did apologize and mention dry cleaning help, but no mention of other compensation to either guest for a terrible start to dinner.
Dinner started, but meat table service was extremely slow and unavailable for ~15 minutes until we had to mention to manager we had been waiting a while for meat to be served.
Guest B had a side of sautĂ©ed mushrooms. Took a bite and discovered a 1/4 inch pebble in her food after chewing and having pain. Called over manager. Manager told Guest B that sometimes happens since mushrooms come from the ground. Didnât give confidence in how they wash their food.
Heard 2 other instances of staff dropping glassware in dining area during dinner service.
At end of night, server came to find out check paying arrangement. Guest A was still damp from earlier. Guest B was still upset from damp coat, ruined purse and items, and mushroom pebble. No mention to Guest A or Guest B of âWeâre sorry for the experience. Hereâs a discount or weâre compensating your meal.â Still expected them to pay full price. When checks came out, both Guest A and Guest B had full checks - dinner, dessert, and incorrect listed drinks. Guest B asks server to see a manager. A second different manager comes over and he is completely unaware of dinner experience. Server and other manager didnât communicate or give him any information before arriving. In conversation with birthday dinner host and Guest B, he came across confused and reluctant at first to assist as he didnât know about their experience or couldnât understand why there was an issue.
Once Guest A, Guest B, and the birthday host explained what happened, they finally agreed to comp their dinners (still pay for dessert) and to get their information to pay for dry cleaning. 3rd manager came over with forms for dry cleaning, but didnât know what process would take place for reimbursement or payment.
We made the best of dinner, but staff leadership interaction was not positive, kind, and felt reluctant to be understanding. Guest A and Guest B were finally compensated for their experience, but it shouldnât have taken multiple efforts to be heard and understood.
Food - adequate for the price point Service - lack of communication amongst staff and management, little to no accountability, slow Saturday night service, but meat servers were kind and friendly Ambiance - appeared overwhelmed for a busy Saturday night, but space is beautiful
2/10 - would...
Read moreWe discovered this restaurant originally in Lexington Kentucky which we visited several times and felt it was well worth the 3 hour drive round trip. So you can imagine we were thrilled to know they opened one slightly closer to us in Cincinnati. We decided to purchase the VIP card so we can share the experience by bringing friends that never been there. So I made a reservation for our first visit to the Cincinnati location for my husband's birthday and invited friends that were very excited to try this place that we rant and raved about. Telling them about the never ending meat coming to the table. So we get there and we went and filled a plate at the salad bar and brought an extra plate eagerly awaiting for the meat fest to start like we experienced at the Lexington location. We sat and waiting a good 30 minutes before 1 guy came around with some rib roast. We ate that and our friends looked at us and said.... when does the meat fest begin???? A little while longer another guy came around and offered spicy steak. Then again the long wait....we were so embarrassed that our friends asked us why this wasn't turning out how we described, so I went to the greeting desk and asked the woman, What's going on with the meat not coming around. She said she heard someone mentioned there was an issue with the meat coming out. So as the night went on we started getting quite aggravated and decided we will not be back to this location and kept reassuring our friends that it wasn't like this at the Lexington location and we should have made the extra drive to go there. So basically we paid a large amount of money to fill up on salad bar. This was quite disappointing. Then to top it off....we felt very disrespected when 2 young men, who appeared to be friends of employees there, because they came in not in uniform but went into the kitchen to speak with some employees there, they stood there and made fun of us making rude comments about us, while we were smoking outside on the mezany. This made us very uncomfortable and my husband was going to speak up and say something to them however I reminded him this was his birthday celebration and we were with friends and it's best to just ignore this situation to avoid any conflict. On top of all that, our waitress could not understand us at all. I'm not trying to be mean because she tried her best, she really did, but I asked for lemon for my water and she brings me a glass full of lime wedges. Overall the experience is not the quality of the Lexington location and we were not only very disappointed but embarrassed we set the standards so high for our friends for their first experience there to be disappointed as well. We will go the extra drive for the Lexington location...
