While driving to back home Sunday (4/13/25) from my weekend trip, I wanted to get some pizza to eat while taking a break from the road. I found The Works Pizza and decided to give it a try. As I went up the elevator The Works was tucked away nearby the Kenwood Theater. Upon entering I was greeted by the hostess and decided to sit at the bar. The bartender greeted me very politely while taking my drink order, While looking over the menu, the manager Brian came by and asked me me if I had any questions with the menu. I asked him for recommendations on pizza and his response “They’re all good” I went with the Commish a pretty simple pizza in my mind. When the pizza came out it looked and smelled amazing. That first bite I took I was amazed! I haven’t had a pizza where the bottom had a crisp to it. This wasn’t something that went in a conveyor oven, this was something way better! The cheese was gooey and the sauce full of flavor, I knew I made the right choice coming here. After a few bites, the bartender checked in on my order. Even Brian came by a little later and asked how my experience was. “By far some of the best pizza!” I told him and he had me walk around to see the rotating brick oven they used explaining to me how it evenly cooks the pizza. After staying for about an hour or so, I took the rest of my pizza with me which made it nearly impossible to finish while driving. If ever I drive through the area, I’ll stop in at The Works for sure. Very easy to get to right off I-71. Thanks to Brian and the staff for making my...

Read moreThought we would try this place out. Seeing as the Kenwood area is usually busy I tried to make a reservation. Their on-line system is a joke. Received a message that they received my request and would receive a reply IF they could accommodate my request. No response so we showed up on Sat night around 6:15 to see if we might get in. No problem- wasn’t 20% full. Service wasn’t bad and we ordered a couple appetizers and a couple drinks. After way too long of a wait we received a lukewarm spinach and artichoke dip and something remotely looking like garlic knots. Both were sub par. Ordered 3 meals and then after a lengthy wait they all came out over a 20 min interval. Excuse was kitchen was backed up. If they can’t handle a dead night I would hate to see if they were busy. My daughter finished her food before I received mine. NO way close to being a $100 meal. Can’t imagine they will...
