Haven't given a one star in awhile. But this place truly deserves it.
I'm usually very understanding and I try to give benefit of the doubt, but when staff literally are flat out disrespectful, it's hard for me to understand in tough times how they can afford to be like that and lose potential business.
I walked in a pretty busy bar with the bartenders paying no attention to anyone coming in. I can understand, it's a Thursday night. And I come here because it's one of the few places playing nfl game.
However, no matter how long I waited none of them looked my way even though I was obviously looking at them waiting to order. I wasn't walking in just to stand.
I walked to other side of the bar where there was just one bartender near the lottery tickets?? I asked if I could sit there and he just quickly said yes.
Eventually he realized I might order something, and asked if I wanted to order something albeit pretty rudely.
Eventually, he I guess forgot I ordered a cider and started waiting on other tables, meanwhile I'm just waiting for a damn cider.
Another bartender who I never even saw yet asks if ordered something and I say a cider. He can also see that the other guy should've got my cider quick instead of going to all the other tables.
Then this guy grabs me my cider finally, and when I ask what kind it is, he has absolutely no idea.... What?!!
I was kinda fed up and wanted to cash out after my one cider, and when I said I wanted to cash out, the bartender couldn't hear me? One foot away...
He looks at me like he's waiting for something, and I tell him the other bartender already took my card info... I'm so fed up I literally tell him I don't get how they're not on the same page and literally confused me, like who the heck is my main bartender lol!
I went to beer star after, my main place and I should've just came here.
Train your staff, and I hope you're not going here if you expect a good time. As usual, I will share this on yelp and Facebook as well so...
Read moreI am very surprised at these reviews. Service here the last few times has been awful. Last time we came in, we drove in separate cars, my husband had his drink already when I arrived. I waited for about 15 minutes and no one came by to see if I needed a drink. The server walked past me to enter in an order and then walked right past me again to go do something else. Not a peep out of her, any acknowledgement what so ever. I've been in customer service for 40 + years and was a bartender and a server at one point. I just can't express enough how much an I'll be right with you -or- an I will be right back is appreciated. My husband mentioned that he had to go over to the bar and order his drink there. The fellow working pull tabs eventually made his way over and unenthusiastically asked me if I would like a drink. I did order a beer and it was nice and cold and it arrived in a descent time frame which was nice. A bit of time went by, my husband was ready for another drink, the two servers walked past him many times while his drink was empty so again he walked over to the bar and order his second drink. Once we were finished we decided against giving anymore of our money to this place and moved on elsewhere for dinner and more drinks. We had to go to the bar and pay our tab, the number of drinks on the tab were not accurate with what we had so we asked if my 2 beers were on the tab and we were told yes but she answered extremely rudely. We also watched a half dozen other customers have to track down a server for different needs that they had. We will not be returning to your establishment. We used to really enjoy coming here when Bart and Kaitlyn were here. They were awesome and...
Read moreEdit as of 8/5/23. There's new management. The West end is back. Not in the old way, but a little fresher, consolidated menu. I tried the whiskey burger since it was one of the original items v still left from older menus. The sauce isn't a BBQ sauce, which makes a huge difference. Burgers look to maybe be premade patties, but the flavor is good/seasoned. The fish and chips are decent and the new beach patio with open windows is nice. Chicken strips were reasonably priced but small. And the fries are still good as in crunchy, with texture and you get a decent amount. I will come back since they allow kids and you still get a decent pour for drinks. Thanks for your honest reply and service. Edit as of 12/26/22. The place isn't good anymore after the best cooks left and tastes like Shari's or Denny's in a bad way. It's not worth rating the food other than the menu is very paired down and the favors are different now with the exception of sauces they but premade that can't be ruined. The newer servers are all very nice. OLD Review: The jack Daniels burger can be amazing if they go easy on the jack Daniel's sauce. Same with the pub steak. Food in general is good. Pizza can be good but usually isn't that good, but it depends on who's cooking that night or if they're on major cooks have been there for years even after they got bought out a couple years ago. That does some leg work. Also, kids can be there until 9pm. This is great for a Friday night where it might be more packed at other places. Been a favorite place for years, but there are days when this place could have one of the best burgers in town, but there's not consistency. I will always come...
