Happy Teriyaki #7 — Restaurant in Tacoma

This is the first time at this location but my family are avid customers for happy teriyaki. My family and I stopped in for a late lunch today and was NOT happy with the experience. We understand that things happen but I would give this place a negative star if I could in food and customer service. I got the bento box with sesame chicken and my husband got the chicken katsu and both were extremely dry and I could not eat the sesame chicken it was so hard. Not only that but the “salad” was just seasoned cabbage and carrot slices. I had to ask for dressing for my salad and even then mine and my husbands were slimy. I brought it up the the waitress and she went to the manager. After a minute they both came back and told me that I’m paying for it regardless. When I offered to pay for what was eaten (fried rice and egg rolls) the manager persisted to tell me we will pay for everything and they were not going to remake it and wouldn’t do ANYTHING to fix the situation. Over all 0/10 for customer service, 2/10 for the food (egg rolls were cooked correctly) and decor is a 5/10 cause even though it’s a bit cramped it’s very nice looking inside. Management do better. Have now stopped in a handful of times and each time something always goes awry. First time I stopped in they got orders mixed up and I ended up paying for and receiving someone elses food and that was a nightmare. They wanted me to accept extra food to make up for what was charged to my debit card. Second visit I again received the wrong order. My visits after we're okay, food is decent. Something I don't like is how they put the teriyaki sauce on the side and I feel their prices are high compared to other places.

Now for my last visit, my 11.95 combo meal turned into 18.97 just because I asked for spicy chicken instead of regular. When I asked they said there as an extra charge to make it spicy but 5-6 bucks extra?! Come on now....This place is close to where I work but it's honestly not worth it to me. I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki and I was the last one at my table to be served, my family had already gotten all their food while I was still waiting on mine. it took us asking somebody about my food to actually get it, they said "2 minutes" and I had 15 mins left of an episode of my show while I was waiting and once I got my food I have 8 minutes left. I have NEVER had a problem with service there before. Me and my family always prefer to go this happy teriyaki but this time I got a little annoyed with the service. They have amazing food though, just remember to say something about the spice when ordering something spicy like I did, it was VERY spicy and tore up my stomach.
