There are a few standard shapes to which shopping centers conform. This one is comprised of a massive central parking lot, which is ringed by shops. The benefit here is obvious for pedestrians; while you may have to walk further to get to your destination, you will walk in relative safety, as you are not required to cross a parking lot to get where you are going. This safety does not sacrifice car convenience to acheive, since parking is plentiful. The central thoroughfare which feeds from the street can have fast-moving cars from time to time, but its central location keeps that traffic away from pedestrians and people walking to and from their cars. In general, burger King here if not a few of them in Tacoma are really run poorly and they run out of or their quality varies wildly. This one may be the worst from multiple times I've been. Ross here is terrible. Blown out front door windows multiple times, lacking selection compared to TJ Maxx over by target, but does have a much, much better men's selection, but Maxx has better women's selection. Around back K&G has ok prices but nice dress shoes, suites etc. The Mexican restaurant isn't bad, but isn't memorable either. Sushi place used to be really good, but it's been years since I've gone....
Read moreMichael's plaza is a nice little place by the Tacoma Mall where you can find a lot of different things including guitar center cheap fashion and there's a Michaels there so you can find little knick-knacks but the true gem would be Marlene's. in the craziness of the Tacoma Mall on 38th Street there is Marlene's which is the health food store with Cafe that has fresh juices and actually surprisingly quite delicious coffee there a homemade cakes and things like that anyway this place is like an oasis and this plaza is full of parking so you can go to guitar center and try guitar and then go have a coffee or you can have a coffee first and go try...
