I wished I could give negative stars!! Unbelievable what knowledge the employees have and then they look at you like you are nuts and with a stink face give you a smart-alic answer. The system of the kohls cash is ridiculous. And when I summed up the reflection of what a supervisor said, same thing.. stink face, telling me " you gonna take it like that, what am I wasting my time" after having 3 trips up to CS (6if you count the back n forth n i do bc im handicap and cannot be on my feet long) but was told by supervisor, "that's on you". Im sickened and disgusted. I don't want your damn kohls cash, just put the $ back on my card!! And there are NO STORE MGRS on property! Really??? Cashier didn't know store mgr name(w the face n smart answer) he also didn't know the stores number how to reach a mgr. He called a supervisor and he didn't know mgr name when I ask, he wrote a first name on paper and handed it to me. Didn't know mgrs full name. He even looked at a piece of paper he had in his pocket. This supervisor also didn't know the stores #, or any # to reach the mgr. I would hate to see any emergency happen. What are these people trained to do???? But for me personally... just give me my $ back! I can't believe the way I was treated. With my health condition, it's not their business that it's me in the store and not a family member returning these items. It should be their business to know how to treat a customer and to know who their damn boss is and how to reach them when there are NO MGRS IN STORE!!!!! THIS is why the store parking lot is EMPTY! You have to go around and park at the other entrance to go in. The cars that ARE in the parking lot are probably the (ONE) handful of employees and maybe 2 customers. I don't know how the store even functions or is able to stay open for business.
UPDATE: I was contacted by the store manager after I posted my utter disappointment and anger. She was kind enough to also explain the reason I did not get my full refund, but the $10.75 in Kohl's cash. Also explained their "rewards" because that is something different. I personally am a straight up kinda person. I appreciate when things are direct, clear and black and white. I like the idea of making purchases, giving my money and receiving goods and services. If it doesn't work out, I like giving back the goods and receiving my money - what I paid. In the end, the store manager gave me her full name. She said they were withholding that information because of security issues. I'm not really sure what that means. There are plenty of places, for instance, Publix grocery that not only has the full names of their managers, supervisors, etc, but also beautiful picture of them hanging in the stores above their names. I also received the balance of money that wasn't previously refunded as well as 30% off my next purchase asking me to give them another chance. So, thank you Kohls. I did go back for my refund. I also spent the kohls cash and accepted her generous offer of a discount. My take away from this is... they have some nice merchandise. They do stand behind their name in making things right when you can connect with the right person (which is what i was trying to do). I do hope that their supervisors and associates were also given some training in customer service. Giving customers a look like they are idiots and telling them that they aren't going to waste their time just isn't good business. Unfortunately in this day, after covid, customer service lacks in just about every industry. This is why I shop online most of the time. Included in that area they offered perfumes/colognes which I thought to use for my daily in the go. Not cheap but not break the bank and again perfect for gifts for almost everyone and affordable! GONE!!! I inquired where is the jewelry and the response was around the corner to which I found those cheap holiday boxes which encased items which would look more presentable had the derives from a gym all machine!!! True story!
NOW??? Kohls apparently made what they consider the executive decision to remove the afore-mentioned areas and replace with Sephora collections!!!! HUH??? In addition to this high priced over rated skin/makeup collection, they were thoughtful enough to add high end colognes which are minimally discounted! As I stood in amazement, I over heard several people comment on pricing. (You can not use Kohls Cash on the Sephora Leasee apparently so no help there) Furthermore, I inquired to an associate what happened and she unfortunately didn’t had anything to suggest other than Kohls wants to drive the tweens and such in??? For sure not happening! Girls don’t want makeup from a no known name brand nor at $40 for lipgloss! Shoot, the cheap brands such as Eld or Wet n Wild or TikTok fare is what they want! Read moreThis store has lost my business! On Sunday I took my sister in to pay her bill because she is visually impaired and needs a little help when using her debit card. Our intentions were to go straight to the registers but I saw a lady carrying rugs and I thought they may be having a sale so we headed upstairs! I didn't find a rug but I found two pj sets that I liked. My sister suggest we go to the customer service area so she could pay her bill. There were two people in line and at our arrival it was only one lady working the counter. A kohls employee walked up talking to the lady in front of us and she told her friend to come up to the register and she would take care of her. My sister was already doing her transactions so when the lady finished her friends traction I went up to pay for my 2 items. The lady already had an attitude with me! She asked me if I was returning the pjs and I said no, I'm buying them. Rudely she said that this line is for returns and not purchases. Well hell I had no idea you couldn't check out there! The lady told me since I'm already there she would ring me up!! Now mind you there was no one else in line. I came so close to telling her that I changed my mind that I want a refund and keep that freaking charge card and shred it! I will not make another purchase with this place!
