I came into the store today to buy a box of Fortune cookies. I attempted to ask the guy who worked there, where I could find them. He didn’t let me get out my question. All I could get out was “Excuse me,” then he cut me off by saying “Later.” as he kept walking. I went to the front to the gentleman at the register. He took me over to the cookies, but when I went to checkout. I was explaining to him the other guy’s response to me. Well, he also disregarded what I was saying. All he wanted to do was ring me out. I didn’t get a “I’m sorry about that..” or anything. It was as though I wasn’t saying anything.Needless to say I did not purchase the fortune cookies. This is by far and away the best East Asian market locally. There is a large selection of tea, rice, soy sauce, condiments, kitchen tools, table ware and really any other product you need to make Eastern Asian or other international recipes. The produce section has a wide variety of fruits and vegetables that are frequently not carried anywhere else. Lychees, jack fruit, dragon fruit, rambutans are good examples of exotic fresh fruit they carry from time to time. They have a good selection of mushrooms and exotic herbs (garlic chives, culantro, Thai basil, etc). They also have an extensive snack section that has unique and unusual items. My family and I used to shop here. Until we started being robbed by one individual at the cashier. We realized the guy at checkout was adding extra items to our bill. This man would add 2 to 3 items ranging in price like $2.99, $3.99, etc. Things we did not have in our bags. I started counting how many products we bought and comparing it with the receipt and the receipt always had 2 to 3 extra items more!
